- Guided tour of two famous Italian art museums – Accademia Gallery and Uffizi Gallery
- Walking tour of Florence’s most important historic sites
This artistic excursion ticks off two-world famous galleries as well as Florence's finest Renaissance gems.
The half-day tour begins in the Accademia Galley, where you'll get up close and personal with some of Michelangelo’s most important sculptures including ‘The Prisoners’, ‘Saint Matthew’ and the famous ‘David’, as well as Gothic works of art and Renaissance paintings. A guided tour of the gallery will offer insight into the history and cultural importance of the pieces, before a little free time to explore at your leisure and stop for lunch.
After lunch, you'll meet up for a walking tour of Florence's most famous sites. An expert guide will take you through the magnificent exterior of the Cathedral, Brunelleschi’s Dome and the Baptistery, with its famous Gates of Paradise. Next you'll see Signoria Square with its spectacular Palazzo Vecchio, finishing at the Loggia dei Lanzi, an open-air sculpture gallery adjoining the Uffizi Gallery.
The excursion will finish with a guided tour of the Uffizi itself, giving you the chance to see famous collections of Italian Renaissance paintings up close. As the tour comes to a close, you'll head out onto the Uffizi terraces for a rest, and to enjoy the unique views of Florence. If you haven't had your fill of art just yet, you can stay in the gallery at your leisure until it closes.
