- A historic hotel with elegant details
- Located in the historic heart of Florence
- Restaurant with panoramic views and rooftop garden (open seasonally)
Once the 19th Century home of Prince Carrega di Lucedio, the four star Grand Hotel Baglioni opened for business in 1903. Lying close to the artistic treasures of Florence and the bustling central market, the hotel offers a compelling juxtaposition of traditional Florentine style and contemporary amenities and service.

Whether you’re travelling as a couple on a romantic break or after a cultural family experience, the Grand Hotel Baglioni is perfectly placed to discover all that Florence has to offer. There are monuments and galleries to explore, quiet courtyards and cobbled streets to discover, shopping trips to enjoy and special together moments to savour, relaxing in the hotel’s bar or restaurant.
The hotel has 193 rooms (official rating 4 star). Child prices apply to ages 2-11 years.
Minimum stay 3 nights in specific dates.

About the location
Holidays in Florence allow you to experience one of Europe’s most culturally and historically significant cities. Florence is a vibrant city nestled among the idyllic green hills of Tuscany. It retains a sense of intimacy and romance thanks to its relatively small size, while also offering a remarkable selection of museums, galleries, and restaurants, which continue to impress even the most regular visitor. Every stroll has the potential for something remarkable, whether it’s peering out of the Vasari Corridor or wandering across the Giardino di Boboli. Alternatively, for those looking to relax, there are beautiful vistas to be seen while enjoying a rooftop aperitivi in the evening.
Perhaps most known for its remarkable historical architecture, you will easily find renowned pieces of art by famous artists such as Filippo Brunelleschi, Leon Battista Alberti, and Michelangelo throughout the city. Florence continues to celebrate this tradition with impressive modern buildings, notably The New Florence Opera House, maintaining the city’s reputation as a marvel from every angle. Any visiting foodies will undoubtedly revel in Florence’s food culture, from its seven Michelin starred restaurants to the brilliant bustle of the Mercato Centrale. This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. I continue to be impressed. The staff did everything to make my stay enjoyable. The room was comfortable and spacious with a very good bathroom. I was impressed by the female staff in the breakfast room as they were very efficient and helpful and I continue to enjoy the bar and restaurant on the 5th floor. I will continue to use this hotel whenever I visit Florence. Thank you

We only spent one night in Grand Hotel Baglioni but wish it was more. The room was very comfortable with a lovely private patio outside. Staff were all very friendly and the rooftop bar has amazing reviews of Florence. The continental breakfast the next day was solid & the complimentary bottle of wine in our room was a lovely touch. Highly recommended

Goodbye to setting the standards of excellence for the Florence hospitality industry...Goodbye to anticipating and even guessing guests' wishes and needs....Hello to rudeness, disrespect, improvisation, lack of training and a reactive, not proactive mindset, what I ended naming the "fireman attitude"
Indeed, I stayed in an impressive building, almost a Palazzo, in front of the honor stairs and my room was superb, but I went through a rollercoaster of quality in service
From a gracious welcome and check-in to an openly aggressive and toxic woman at the reception. From breakfast served faster than lighting with food prepared by a real chef and plated by an artist to wait an eternity for scrambled eggs that chewing rubber had better texture. From having my room cleaned by 9:30 to insist it was missed and have it ready by 13:00.Too many other big and small incidents to review.Too many different reactions from staff too describe
Shinning stars in this dark tunnel: Beatrice, always holding the castle in the reception, Iacomo, the junior executive enduring my complaints and Massimiliano, the knowledgable restaurant Maitre d'
The charm left a long time ago. What is left is a business hotel in a good location in Firenze
