Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, one of the most famous cathedral in the world, was built over 150 ago years and was designed by some of the most famous architects of the the time. Arnolfo di Cambio, Pisano Giotto and Brunelleschi were just some of the architects that took part in building the cathedral with the world known Brunelleschi's cupola signalling the end of its construction in 1436.
After skipping the lines and entering the cathedral your guide you take you through the the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and you will learn the fascinating history and the unusual construction of this unique landmark.
After having discovered the Cathedral's secrets and enjoyed its one of a kind frescoes your next stop is the Northern Terrace on the rooftop of the Cathedral. You will walk through a narrow, open-air corridor that has been closed to the public for centuries and you will reach a secret room where a guard will open the door to the terrace. You will have the chance to enjoy the breath-taking views over Florence and admire Brunelleschi's cupola from close by.
Next, the "Circular Room" where you will have the opportunity to see ancient statues which once stood in the façade of the Duomo. Then, you will have the chance to see Florence from the highest point in the city centre at the very the top of the cupola.
