- Located 800 metres from the Duomo in the centre of Florence
- Great value for money
Comprised of three historical buildings, the Alba Palace stands besides the cloisters of Santa Maria Novella, 800 metres from the Duomo in the historic centre of Florence and only 200 metres from the Santa Maria Novella station (Florence's main train station). The buildings surround the covered courtyard, now the hotel's breakfast room built in typical Florentine style. All the bedrooms are positioned around the central courtyard and are cosy and quiet.
The recent renovation of the building has combined the ancient origins of terracotta, stone and wrought iron originally used in these traditional buildings together with the modern comforts you will find in every room today. The Alba Palace is ideally located for exploring Florence and the lobby bar is a great place to unwind after a fun-filled day.
The hotel has 28 rooms (official rating 3 star). Child prices apply to ages 2-12 years.

We stayed here because we couldn't contact another place that we wanted to stay at. We were sad to hear that the place was closing down the next day, so luckily we were able to stay here one night. The room was very nice and the breakfast was the best we've had. It was a sort of buffet style where guests can pick out what they want rather than having to order it. There were lots of options for sweet treats like chocolate cake, fruit and almond pie, croissants, breads, juices, cereals, yogurts, hard-boiled eggs, packaged toasts and treats, jams, cream cheese and butter, coffee and tea, milk, ham and cheese, and more! Great selection and the waitress lady was very kind. Highly recommend and I pray that they will open up again soon! Covid is really destroying businesses like these!

Out of the heart of the tourist area but still convenient to everything. About a 10 minute walk to the Duomo. Very close to the main train station. Staff was accommodating and spoke English well enough. Breakfast was good, of the traditional Italian variety (i.e. you won't find scrambled eggs). Room was quiet, bathroom nice with big towels, very roomy shower and plenty of hot water. We would certainly stay there again.

Very clean hotel and ideal position to visit all the attractions of Florence within walking distance. Only a couple of minutes from the beautiful square of Piazza San Maria Novella. The lady who did breakfast was amazing and I wanted to credit her for all her hard work, she was the only member of staff who cleaned the tables, prepared special coffees and kept the buffet well and truly stocked up. The only negative point was the reception team were not very friendly and welcoming, but we are living in very stressful times at the moment.

Very close to the railway station, you can leave your luggage before checking or after checkout (closed place). Very clean and covid-organized. The room was small but functional and silent. Excellent breakfast, with a variety of food in a small but well organized buffet. Perfect people, reception, bar, rooms... kindness, efficiency, warm smiles. A place to go.
