- Visit a famous estate with a tour of the wine cellar
- Self-guided tour of the Monteriggioni fortress
- Tasting of local wines, oil and vinegar
Spend the afternoon exploring Chianti, a beautiful wine region filled with characteristically Tuscan rolling hills and vineyards.
You'll begin your journey travelling through the Chiantigiana countryside, admiring the famous vineyard-striped landscapes before arriving at the first farm, where you'll explore its traditional wine cellars. The local farmers will explain the process of wine production in detail, as well as the storage of the wine. Following the tour, you’ll get to enjoy tasting some of the most renowned wines of the region, including Chianti Classico, Chianti Riserva and Tuscan IGT, soaked up with some typical local fare like bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil, vinegar and salami.
After the tasting, you'll take the short journey to Monteriggioni to see the astonishing fortress. Here, you'll have free time to explore the town centre and main square filled with little shops, giving you the chance to buy Tuscan salami and wines to take home.
The tour will continue through the scenic roads of Chianti’s countryside, finishing at a second winery with the opportunity to sample other varieties of wines.
