About the location
Monterosso is the biggest of the five Cinque Terre villages. It’s split into two halves – the west side is more modern, while the eastern end has a traditional feel, with narrow lanes and candy-coloured houses. There’s a handful of interesting ancient watchtowers to look out for, plus a beautiful church with a striped marble façade.
Monterosso has a couple of coarse-sand beaches, the biggest of which is in the new part of town. They’re the only ‘proper’ beaches in the Cinque Terre, so they’re well set up with loungers and parasols. Away from the beach, you’ve got the remaining four villages (Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore) to explore. You can get the train or boat between them, but for spectacular scenery, there’s nothing better than taking to the hills and hiking your way along the coast.
The hotel is 1 hour 15 minutes from Genoa airport. Return private transfers included. To change your transfers or book car hire instead, simply call us once you’ve completed your booking.

We stayed several nights at this hotel. Had a fabulous 3rd floor room with our own balcony. The breakfast was awesome- they have everything you could ask for including eggs and bacon, along with more native dishes. The pool was great, we especially liked to go after a day of hiking and enjoy an aperitivo. The chairs were spread out so people weren't on top of one another. Many at the desk was great with dinner reservations and recommendations. He also talked us through the hiking options. Nothing was crowded (cruise ships have not started again yet) and the hiking trail is right next to hotel. Yes, the trail to hotel is steep, but it takes less than 5 minutes to get up there so it's not too long. Definitely take the hotel taxi service when you have your luggage. We will stay here again. Fabulous place with great service!

Spent 3 days there for our honeymoon. Manny and Alex were wonderful. We had a spectacular view, great breakfast and dinners. Steps away from trails and city life. Make sure you are physically fit because you will be climbing steep grades and steps. Hotel has its own beach which was great because you need a reservation to use the public beach. Nice pool, hot tub and bar. Do not drive to the hotel, take the train and they will arrange a cab to pick you up. Room was modern, clean with a private balcony. Bathroom and shower were also terrific. We went to all 5 towns and this is the number one spot to stay!
