About the location
Holidays to Rapallo take you to the beautiful Italian Riviera, also known as Liguria
, and offer couples an eclectic mix of inviting beaches and proud historic buildings and museums set on cosy cobbled streets. There are artisan shops and an excellent range of cafés, bars and romantic restaurants, ideal for those wanting to immerse themselves in local cuisine.
Take to the palm lined seafront promenade, the Lungomare Vittorio Veneto, and follow in the footsteps of the brilliant but troubled American poet Ezra Pound. Feel the spirit of his friend Ernest Hemmingway and the many other distinguished figures who visited or called Rapallo home.
Stop and take a moment to admire the pretty Art Nouveau buildings with their distinctive splashes of colour – terracotta, mustard and pink – then linger for a while on one of the many benches and watch the world go past.
At the eastern end of the promenade is the Castello sul Mare – the Castle on the Sea – built in 1550 to defend against pirate attack. This powerful symbol of the city of Rapallo, is used for cultural and artistic events and exhibitions.
The hotel is 55 minutes from Genoa airport. Return private transfers included. To change your transfers or book car hire instead, simply call us once you’ve completed your booking.

Total disappointment, all the more so for the absurd price you pay. This hotel is nice, but ridiculously out-priced. We paid 450??? for the room and they asked us 15??? supplement to leave the car in the resort (not even in a parking lot). We were cordially invited to use the (wonderful) spa. But we could not use it fully as it closed at 19:00 (??? they started closing at 18:45) which we were not told when we went in (18:15). The surprise came at the end when - leaving the spa - we were told we had to pay 24???/pp for the spa - thing that we were never told before nor was it written anywhere!!! The room was small but very nice. Dinner was a total disappointment: bad welcome, limited choice and honestly tasteless. Very unpleasant and arrogant waiter at breakfast, asking customers to speed up their choices (luckily not to me ???). I sent two mails to the hotel for a clarification regarding the Spa: they completely ignored them. Ridiculous and disappointing ???

First things first: staff at breakfast is nice, helpful, professional. Pool boy really polite & helpful. Rooms coean, nice view, expensive but ok. Then the downsize: listen: if you pay gor a hotel, you shouldn???t pay extra to have a sunbed. Period. Money doesn???t decide everything! Spa is extra, sunbed almost all taken by people that do not even show the entire day. So hotel: shame on you! You have customers that DO want to enjoy the pool, and booked your hotel for this reason. So you give them a place at the pool. If you don???t: put it in your advertisement: warning: this hotel serves only the ones that pay extra for everything that should be included. We are europeans: so behave like that: treat all customers as if they are welcome, and serve what they came for! And get more serving staff at lunch time too: the food is good, but the staff is understaffed.
