Piazza de Ferrari

A trip to Genoa would not be complete without a visit to the Piazza de Ferrari, located at the heart of the city, the piazza has a bustling centre and an exciting atmosphere.

The Piazza de Ferrari has become the most popular meeting place in the city with some of the biggest events in Genoa understandably taking place here too! Named after Raffaele De Ferrari, the Duke of Galliera who donated a sum of money to help expand the port, the main square has great historical importance. Surrounding the piazza is a combination of modern and historic buildings all with impressive architecture to be admired. The piazza’s piece de resistance truly is the magnificent fountain standing tall in the middle of the square.
