Is there any city more romantic in the world than Venice? Known the world over for its epic grandeur, its dreamy waterways and its palazzis, this is a city that everyone must see at least one in their life. And to really get the feel of the place, you need to stay in the heart of Venice.

Losing none of it’s watery charm over the years, Venice is a city of enduring elegance. Even the most touristic of activities take on a romantic and unique feel here. Surrounded by elegant palazzos, wide canal boulevards and the shimmering waterways that define the city, Venice never fails to impress. Take a gondola ride, order a glass of Prosecco (the region is famous for it) in St. Mark's square (yes, it is expensive and yes, it is worth it) and enjoy this extraordinary city in northern Italy.
Exploring the city by foot is something we recommend. Venice’s labyrinthine back alleys and streets open you up to a whole new experience of the city. This is where the real Venice takes place and where, thankfully, the crowds do not seem to come.
Venice’s landmarks are legendary and no visit to La Serenissima is complete with a trip to Doge’s Palace. Built in 1340, the palace provides a great insight into the history of the city and is truly beautiful. The Bridge of Sighs, so named as it offered prisoners a last chance to see their beautiful city prior to imprisonment, is very close by (and just a few minutes from Hotel Savoia and Jolanda).
