- Breakfast room overlooking the Grand Canal
- Located just a few minutes walk from the Rialto Bridge
Step back in time with this delightful 14th century palazzo, once home to the Venetian Realista painter Giacomo Favretto, and now a popular choice with Citalia guests. Historically important, Hotel San Cassiano Ca’ Favretto was also the residence of noble families. Today it is a Residenza d'Epoca, or listed building. The San Cassiano's public rooms are beautifully decorated to embody a traditional Venetian style and the pretty breakfast room overlooks the Grand Canal.
In addition to the few minutes' walk to the Rialto Bridge, an unusual yet interesting sight nearer to the hotel is La Peschiera, the site of Venice’s six centuries old busy fish market. Hidden away in a quiet street, this unique four star hotel lies on the edge of the Grand Canal, sitting virtually opposite Palazzo Sagredo’s waterfront façade with its exemplary Veneto-Byzantine and Gothic arches.
The hotel has 36 rooms (official rating 4 star). Child prices apply to ages 2-11 years. Minimum stay 2 nights arriving on a Friday and Saturday.

Spent 4 nights at the classic Hotel San Cassiano and despite the loneliness (as due to Covid we were the only room that was busy), it was gorgeous. The staff really tried to spoil us with all sorts of amenities allowed and joined us with safety distance in conversations, discussing the situation in the city from the tourism point of view.
Breakfast was ready, umbrellas available, recommendations for delivery of meals - whatever was possible and legal. For that we want to thank them cordially.
The house itself is a jewel with view to the Grand Canal, looking at waters quiet as a private pond.

My wife and I visit each year in December to celebrate our wedding anniversary in Venice, where we married. We always stay at this wonderful hotel, not only for its fabulous facilities and superb location, but most of all for the brilliant staff who look after us. Unfortunately, due to Covid, we have had to cancel our annual trip this year, but have already booked for 2021. We are also staying in June for one night as part of an Italian road trip, but know that we won't beat this hotel on our travels, nor the majesty of Venice. We both hope that all the people at San Cassiano stay safe and well and look forward to seeing you all next year. You are a credit and inspiration for others to aspire to.

I had to cancel my trip to Venice due to Covid and the airline I was due to travel with pulled it's flights. I was unable to cancel through the booking company, however this hotel agreed to cancel at no fee and I was therefore able to get the full cost of my holiday back. Many thanks! I hope to stay with you when all this madness is over.

The breakfast bar had a balcony with an amazing view of the canal. Our room was on the ground level and was very spacious. One and only one item that had a draw back was the blow dryer for your hair was very weak and would overheat within minutes. Front Desk staff stated they were unable to provide a replacement. Quiet location.
