Step back in time with this 14th century palazzo, once home to the Venetian Realista painter Giacomo Favretto, and now a popular choice with Citalia guests. Historically important, Hotel San Cassiano Ca’ Favretto was also the residence of noble families. Today it is a Residenza d'Epoca, or listed building. The San Cassiano's public rooms are decorated to embody a traditional Venetian style and bedrooms are simply furnished.
In addition to the 10 minutes' walk to the Rialto Bridge, an unusual yet interesting sight nearer to the hotel is La Peschiera, the site of Venice’s centuries old busy fish market. Hidden away in a quiet street, and 10 minutes' walk to the nearest vaporetto stop, this unique and very Venetian hotel lies on the edge of the Grand Canal, sitting virtually opposite Palazzo Sagredo’s waterfront façade with its exemplary Veneto-Byzantine and Gothic arches.
The breakfast room is located on an upper floor and overlooks the Grand Canal.
