We visited Venice in late January before COVID hit - for my birthday.
Our room was delightful. We overlooked the canal around the hotel - so beautiful!
The only thing I'd say is mind the mosquitos! We got bit a few times - so itchy!
Our room led onto the breakfast room but the room was sound proofed. You could hear a pin drop!
The staff were very helpful - wishing us well and helped us with our coach back to the airport. Rooms were spotless - cleaned every day. A rose and champagne were placed in the room too - which was a lovely touch.
Breakfast was nice - not much for veggies or vegans - but delicious. The pancakes were a welcomed touch - my boyfriend loved them!
Coffee was lovely too - breakfast staff were quiet but very helpful and polite too.
The roof top terrace was perfect - it was a still a little chilly when we went - but I bet its incredible in summer. We were disappointed we didn't utilise it more to be honest. Beautiful touch.
We will be returning and will be staying in the top suites - beautiful.

AND THIS WAS NOT WHAT WE BOOKED
The staff was rude since our arrival, and clearly didn't care we were not happy with the room and refused to do anything about it. An accommodation to be avoided if you wish to enjoy Venice.

A great hotel very nicely located close to St Marks Square. Very professional front of house and really nice rooms. However the breakfast cafeteria was totally inadequately staffed by the hotel manager at peak times. For instance breakfast time!!! The girls on duty worked very hard but simply could not keep up with demand. There were always tables left uncleared and always a long wait until you were served. On the final day there was only one cleared table and after a 15 - 20 minute wait they had still not even taken our room number to start to prepare our breakfast. As previous the girls were working as hard as they could, this a management issue because they failed to put adequate staff on to service the cafeteria at breakfast time.
Such a shame to spoil a great hotel with poor management decisions. My advise if you stay here, bring your own sandwiches for breakfast!!!!

My partner and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in mid August. Venice was empty so we got a lowered price. The room itself was very nice, and bathroom as well. It was clean and large with lots of furniture and pretty decors.
One thing to note is that the air conditioning aims directly into the bed, which can be a little difficult if you???re a light speaker like me.
We paid ???10 extra per day to have our breakfast (included) served on the terrace. Given there is no buffet you need to pick the time and food you would like in advance. On the second day our booking was forgotten and we waited half an hour to get our breakfast. The options are alright, but no fruits are ok the menu. The hotel and service are really great, the location was extremely central which was a major plus, the only thing that could be improved is maybe the breakfast but with covid I understand that they???re doing the best they can to serve this. Overall I would come again and recommend.

we made reservation far in advance and we booked a very nice room(as shown on picture). When we arrived, we where offered in a sidehouse a room, where you had the feeling, you or your luggage will fit in. Kind of cellarroom, no windows. You had to have all the time light on. we denied, then they offered us a small room in third floor(atticroom), kind of, where you had Hotelpersonal living in, in earlier days. You had to climb up from second floor to third by small steps, not so easy for an older couple. we accepted, even if that was not the room which was shown on reservation. For a 4 star hotel, here was not even cafe/teapot or electric cettle. We had to ask for. Like i said at the beginning, you have to watch out, that you get that, wat you have booked.
