Steeped in history, the Grand Hotel Cocumella is one of the oldest hotels on the Sorrento Peninsula. Located in a pleasant village of Sant' Agnello on the outskirts of Sorrento, this luxurious hotel can boast many famous patrons, including Sigmund Freud, Johann Wolfgang Goethe and Mary Shelley amongst others. 

Set amongst verdant gardens, the hotel oozes traditional charm with secluded spots and winding paths taking you through the lemon groves all the way to the private beach. A tranquil swimming pool is the ideal place to relax with a book and you can also enjoy a tasty lunch at the adjacent restaurant L'Argumento. The hotel's two other restaurants, Scintilla, offering traditional Mediterranean cuisine, and Coku serving an exciting Japanese fusion cuisine, are perfect for a candlelit dinner and sunset views over the Bay of Naples.

There is also a wellness centre with sauna, Turkish bath and a whirlpool, offering a range of treatments and those wishing to explore the coastline can take advantage of the beautifully restored tall ship Vera, available for day tours around the bay. The centre of Sorrento is a 20 minute walk away, the hotel also offers a shuttle service to the centre during the day.

This Japanese fusion restaurant combines Mediterranean and oriental flavours, in a stunning location overlooking the sea.

L’Agrumeto Restaurant

L’Agrumeto offers guests the freshest ingredients picked from the organic vegetable garden, served with traditional Italian dishes, barbecued meats and wood oven baked pizzas.

Scintilla Restaurant

With an option to dine al fresco on the terrace the Scintilla Restaurant uses flavours of the Mediterranean to produce a fresh take on Italian classics.

About the location
Holidays in Sorrento bring you the delights of small-town coastal Italy in close proximity to the bustling city of Naples. It has all the amenities you could wish for, as well as catering for families, couples and the more adventurous. It retains its artisanal crafts, and is filled with small shops specialising in ceramics, limoncello and leather goods. The aromas of fresh pasta, pizza, lemons and tomatoes permeate the air as you stroll around the quaint streets filled with restaurants and cafés.
