Make sure you have your walking shoes on as you’ll spend the day wandering the streets of Naples! You’ll get to see the main sights and sample the local cuisine.
You’ll leave Sorrento and enjoy fabulous views as you journey into the centre of Naples. Known as the city of 1,000 colours, this vibrant city centre has fantastic food as well as history and architecture to discover. Once you arrive you can begin your food journey with a traditional sfogliatella pastry, typical of this area, accompanied by an Espresso or Cappuccino.
You’ll walk past some of the main sights including the Royal Palace of Naples and the San Francesco di Paola. This beautiful and impressive church is situated in Naples’ main city square, you’ll have the chance to take in your surroundings before continuing to the Gallery of Umberto I. This incredible shopping centre with its beautiful iron gilded ceiling and highly decorated facade is perhaps an unexpected sight in the centre of Naples, comparable to something you would see in Paris. After this you’ll be able to walk around the street market of Pignasecca, where there is a huge variety of fresh food available, you’ll be able to sample all the different foods and flavours on offer. It’s a fantastic day out consisting of food and culture.
