Start the tour from Piazza Tasso, the main square in Sorrento, with an aperitif at the Sirenuse bar. Lemons are a staple ingredient in Sorrento so you will kick things off with a Spritz alla Sorrentina with some snacks inspired from Naples such as Pizza rolls, small fried pizzas with tomato, parmesan and basil. Continue along Corso Italia with a stop at a focacceria where you will learn the modern baking techniques as well as sampling the focaccia.
Discover the historic centre and the heart of the city where you will visit one of the historic dairies, Apreda. Enjoy tastings of fresh caciottine and provolone del Monaco, all accompanied by local vegetables and a glass of wine. The walk continues down to Marina Grande, sitting by the sea you will admire the views and the fishing boats whilst tasting a cuoppo di mare or fried squid, prawns and anchovies.
Finish the tour with a return to the historic centre to taste the lemon based sweets and homemade ice cream.
