The St. Regis Venice was incredible from start to finish. The location is simply outstanding, right on the Grand Canal, minutes from St. Mark's square, you have all of Venice at your fingertips. The staff were absolutely amazing - everyone was nice and helpful and bent over backwards to make sure we had a great stay. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff in the restaurant were incredible. We had drinks a couple of nights at the bar - out on the terrace the view was unbeatable. And the room was amazing - we had a Grand Canal view suite and it was one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. We left right at the end of October, just as restrictions were being reimposed, but we cannot wait to come back. Absolutely outstanding.

Warm yet refined service by the most precious staff, many locals who will share their stories. Was actually here to catch the Biennale last year and ended up arriving during the historic flood, can't say enough about how swimmingly the staff handled everything. They turned a potential crisis into an unforgettable experience, even the marble lobby rose to the occasion, looking gorgeous underwater.
Location: You???re exactly 0 mins from San Marco (and the main vaporetto station there), Hermes and Cipriani, but the entrance is within a quiet courtyard away from the crowds. Private dock accessible by water taxi if you have heavy luggage. When Proust said "...in Venice my dream became my address," he was talking about this. Also Dr.Sheldon Cooper would've marked this as his prime spot relative to any and all Venetian needs.
Rooms & View: (see photos!) Request a room with Grand Canal views. Rooms are spacious and newly renovated as of 2019. If you've shopped around for rooms in Venice, you know how hard space and modern bathrooms are to come by. Friends who???ve stayed at the Aman and Gritti envied the direct canal view and huge modern windows (see photos) ??? Can you top waking up to Santa Maria della Salute and the Punta Dogana every morning? Swing open the french windows and pretend the gathering gondoliers are serenading you in a Byronic epic poem. (If the St Regis was available, Lord Byron definitely would've excused himself from the monastic island)
Dining: Bars had excellent whiskey selection served with excellent clear ice cubes. What else do you need? Breakfast spread sumptuous & fresh, everything is customizable. Gio's is a good choice for dinner.
Pre-Arrival: Emailed with concierge to consult on itinerary, super helpful with advice on Biennale (and store) closings and private transfer arrangements. Picked up at airport by the most charming Venetian, definitely use this service if arriving at odd hours, traveling solo, or in bad weather! Wouldn't have been able to make it without.
Don't be afraid to travel to Venice during Fall and Winter/Acqua alta if you're staying at the St Regis, it'll be amazing. Please donate to Save Venice if you???re staying here. Save Venice! Be back soon~

We stayed at the St. Regis for 2 nights. The welcome was a delight. We got an upgrade to the Grand Canal Suite with this amazing view. The hotel was recently renovated and was just perfect. So were to start...
Location: Great - just a few minutes walk from the main sights.
Rooms: Great, just great, very new. Very tasteful. Shower and bath just awesome. Plus I love the products the St. Regis uses. And the bed!!! Like heaven
The Butler Service - a delight! Although I am not much of the person who actually uses it, Leonardo took the time to show us around and give us some tips. Just lovely.
Housekeeping: With so much love! The Turndown service actually prepares everything the way you need it to after a night out.
Gio's Restaurant: Absolutely amazing! We had the pleasure to meet Nadja the Chef - I couldn't get enough from her pasta. Also the Sommelier, she really knows what you would like and she gets it right away.
Breakfast for Platinum Members is all inclusive. Which is great! Sometimes you just get a tiny choice, but not at the St. Regis!
And now to my favorite part: The Garden & St. Regis Bar - I must say if it wasn't for Nicola I wouldn't have loved this place as much as I have. He mixes insanely good drinks. He is so polite and very attentive. We've been to a lot hotels but he is one of a kind. So if you get the chance to be at the St. Regis - let him mix you a drink.
I highly recommend this hotel in every way.
