We stayed at the St Regis for 4 days in July at the same time as the Valentino fashion show. It was great fun people watching the garden. Our suite had a fantastic view of the Grand Canal but the room itself was a bit small. We were told the weekend when we were there was the first time they had been sold out since Covid started, so there were some challenges with prompt service. I am still giving them 5 stars because the general manager acknowledged this was the case and gave us generous compensation for the issues we encountered. The hotel does a nice job of controlling outside guests coming into the hotel so it felt very private.
It is close to a lot of luxury shopping and all the stores would deliver to the hotel. We loved catching the private taxis to other islands. I highly recommend it.

We were in Venice earlier this month to celebrate our anniversary. We had another couple joining us who were not able to make their flight from the US. We had rooms that could not be cancelled within 3 days of arrival. On getting to the hotel the check was smooth. Our room was ready and upgraded due to my titanium status. Next morning Patrizia who is the general manager introduced herself and let me know that she has cancelled our second room. She heard from the night staff what happened and let me know they were not going to charge me for the unfortunate incident.
The house keeping staff and room service is impeccable. The staff in general go out of their way to help. The breakfast spread is big enough to make you want to skip lunch. The concierge gave us great recommendations for dinner.
We absolutely would recommend the St Regis Venice to anyone planning a trip to Venice. Baring the above mentioned, the location in San marco just can't be beat. Once again, thank you Patrizia Hofer for making a great trip greater!
