- Visit this wonderful UNSECO world heritage site the Cinque Terre
- Boat trip between Monterosso and Manarola with fantastic scenery
- Enjoy time to wander these villages at your own leisure
The Cinque Terre is unlike anywhere you’ve ever seen, comprised of a collection of 5 villages sitting along the coastline of the Italian Riviera, characterised by multi-coloured houses sat above beautiful blue waters and clinging to the coast edge. Declared a UNESCO world heritage site the area still retains its historic charm and is brilliantly quaint.
You’ll set off in the morning and head towards your first destination, La Spezia. Here you will board the train to Vernazza, you will have some free time to explore on your own before continuing your journey to Monterosso. Monterosso is where you will find a variety of bars, restaurants and shops where again you will have some free time to explore. The next part of the trip involves a memorable boat trip to Manarola (weather permitting). Many say that the best way to see the Cinque Terre villages is from the water and as you approach Manarola you’ll get to see the beautiful pastel coloured houses surrounded by organic rocky coastline, an unforgettable sight. Again you’ll have time here on your own to have a stroll, maybe take advantage of the lovely restaurants and get a bite to eat. You’ll round the day off by taking the train back to La Spezia and then returning to your resort by coach.
