Spend the next few days visiting some of Rome's top attractions including The Colosseum and the Vatican museums - home to one of the most important art collections in the world, and don't miss the unforgettable Sistine Chapel and Rome's greatest temple – St. Peter's Basilica. This get busy quickly so we suggest visiting first thing in the morning when it opens. In the evenings, head across the river to the Piazza Navona where you'll find an excellent selection of restaurants for dinner.

Today you'll catch the train from Rome Termini Station to Firenze Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence (approx 1.5 hours). When you arrive check in to your centrally located hotel before heading out to get to grips with this spectacular city. We suggest starting off with the Piazza della Signoria, where there are numerous delights to be found including the imposing Palazzo Vecchio.

Flight Information

Most international flights arrive into Rome Fiumicino airport (FCO), which is about 45 minutes from the centre of Rome. Direct flights to Fiumicino travel from from Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Jersey, Leeds, London City, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle. The flight time comes in at about 2 hours 30 minutes.

Some direct flights also head to Rome Ciampino airport (CIA); it's approximately 30 minutes away from the city centre. These flights jet off from London Stansted, Edinburgh, Manchester, East Midlands and Glasgow, taking around 2 hours 30 minutes.
