The room was very large with fridge, complimentary coffee/tea and a large tv.
Personnel nice and professional.
Wifi included in the price of good quality.
I'm not evaluating the breakfast, the post-virus rules were quite strict on separating the items and avoiding buffet, it couldn't have been "pleasant", not their fault, thus.

Ciao tours booked this hotel for our stay in Florence. My daughter and her family stayed at the same place last year. You are about a 5-8 min walk from the train station. Only problem we had besides Coronavirus shutting everything down on 2nd day there was Via Faenza was having sewage and water pipes installed - not fault of hotel. It was a little difficult pulling luggage through the construction site especially if you met someone coming from the opposite way - no room.
The staff we met were very helpful and we had room 211. The room was an upgrade and very nicely appointed. The bed, to us, was very comfortable and no problem with smells etc. We were facing the street so some noise could be heard but it didn't bother. The breakfast was substantial, probably the best we had in Italy. Considering the coronavirus and the lack of guests for most hotels, Porta did nice job of providing food. They also had cookies, sandwiches etc in lobby for you if you wanted one. Cookies were very good.
Location - about 10-15 minutes from Uffzi and same for Petti Palace. The Duomo was probably 10 minutes with the square very close. A Phone with maps is a good option for walking in Florence even though it has very good signage.
Strongly recommend this hotel as did our daughter and grandkids did.
Staff very helpful, we booked our early departure from Italy and they helped us print off information. Staff were very very kind.

We stayed here two nights in February. Staff was wonderful???fast, easy check in. They had complimentary sandwiches and juice available in the lobby in the afternoons. They also had ice water available at all times. No issues with the room, had good night sleep. Bath had a shower and tub and plenty of hot water. Room was a bit warm so we opened the window and there were a few mosquitos in room the morning we left.
The breakfast was good, the basics. Location was great, we walked to everything. Ten minute walk to train station.
