The closest airport to the Amalfi Coast and Cilento is Naples (NAP), which is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Amalfi.

Day 1 : UK - Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi coast in Italy

Arrive at Naples International Airport and transfer along the steep southern shore of the Sorrento Peninsula to your chosen Amalfi coastal town (approx. 1.5 hours). On your first afternoon, we recommend getting to grips with the stunning surroundings, either by heading to the nearest beachfront, or by enjoying a glass of prosecco in the glorious sunshine.

Days 2-4 : Amalfi Coast

The picturesque Amalfi Coast is one of Italy’s most dazzling destinations, dotted with charming towns that cling to tall cliff faces and overlook sparkling blue waters. During your stay fill your days with as much, or as little, activity as you want. Shop ‘til you drop in glamorous Positano, relax on the impressive sun-kissed beach of Maiori or explore the time-worn streets of Ravello - famous for its panoramic views and the celebrated botanical gardens of Villas Cimbrone and Rufolo.

For those wanting to see even more of Italy’s beautiful scenery, a visit to Capri is a must. Travel via super-fast hydrofoil and then enjoy a visit to Villa St. Michele museum and later the Garden of Augustus. You should also take time to browse the elegant island boutiques and take in the atmosphere of Piazza Umberto I.

Days 5 : Amalfi Coast - Cilento

Embark on your journey to the stunning region of Cilento. Be sure to explore the ancient Greek Temples in Paestum before heading further south to your chosen hotel. Spend the evening settling in and relaxing at your hotel.

Day 6 - 8 : Cilento

Spend your time relaxing on the sandy beaches, exploring the hilltop town of San Marco di Castellabate or even driving further afield to the town of Maratea in the neighbouring region of Basilicata. Make sure to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Cilento National Park.

The Cilento National Park is an undiscovered part of Italy, featuring jagged coastlines and inland hills. Here is where you'll find small seaports, quaint fishing villages, and time-worn hill towns. Natural landscapes and genuine hospitality are the hallmarks of the Cilento, which lies south of the famous Amalfi Coast but is a world away from the crowds and tourist shops. Here, you'll find street markets where locals shop and small stores for everyday life.

The closest airport to the Amalfi Coast is Naples (NAP), which is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Amalfi. Direct flights to Naples airport (NAP) are available from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle and take approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.

Visa Information
