, the city has UNESCO World Heritage status thanks to its architecture and history as a military stronghold.
Verona was a centre for artists in the Renaissance era, and you can see a collection of paintings and sculptures in the Museo di Castelvecchio. The city is renowned for its Romanesque 11th and 12th Century churches, and their displays of valuable artworks. There are also landmarks dating back to Verona's days as a Roman colony, including the amphitheatre, which was built in the 1st Century. Romantics will delight in visiting the city of love, the setting for Romeo and Juliet. You can visit Casa di Giulietta, (Juliet’s house), and have your photo taken on the famous balcony.
Verona is also an excellent destination for an active holiday. Lake Garda is a stone's throw away, and there are plenty of walking opportunities, both around the lake and Il Vittoriale botanical gardens. This hotel is in the perfect location in Verona - only 5 minutes walk from the Arena and Piazza Bra, close to the airport and close enough to walk to the train station. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable - we had one of the refurbished modern rooms at the back - which was great - it did lack natural light but was really quiet. Breakfast was lovely lots of selection - regularly kept refreshed. Ideal hotel for sightseeing in Verona!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with my boyfriend and we had a good stay. It is in a brilliant location and so close to the Verona Arena and main square. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are simple. However, it was very noisy in our rooms at night so I would suggest bringing ear plugs! I understand we are in the city centre but better windows would have been nicer for a better nights sleep. The breakfast wasn???t great either. The bread had clearly been left out overnight and was therefore stale and the hot breakfast (bacon, sausages) were cold. I never saw anyone re-fill them or even checking them throughout our stay here. If you are looking for a cheap and simple stay here in Verona then this is the place! I would however stay elsewhere if I was to come back to Verona.
