Spend the day exploring the town of Genoa, the largest medieval town in Europe.
You’ll set off from Milan and travel to Genoa which is famously known as the birthplace of Christopher Columbus. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted by a professional guide who will take you on a walking tour around the centre of the city which is packed with history. You’ll learn about the city’s heritage and see some of the main sights. When the tour is over you’ll have time to wander at your own pace, explore the town or have a bite to eat.
After seeing the main sights of Genoa you’ll then head for the village of Santa Margherita, known for its colorful houses which line the coast. Dolphins have also been spotted in these waters so keep your eyes peeled! You’ll then catch a boat to the fishing village of Portofino. This beautiful village has often been a source of inspiration for poets and writers. Return by boat to Santa Margherita where a coach will be waiting to take you back to Milan.
