With a pretty harbour and bags of history, Bardolino has made a name for itself as one of the must-visit towns on Lake Garda. It's particularly popular among wine connoisseurs, thanks to an impressive wine heritage gained from the surrounding vineyards. Situated in the southern basin of Lake Garda, Bardolino provides a great location from which to enjoy the region, and is only a short drive from the romantic city of Verona.
Bardolino's promenade is its star attraction, spanning the entire front of the resort and lined with plenty of great restaurants. This is one of the most popular places to dine in town, with many eateries offering excellent views over the moored fishing boats to the lake beyond. The promenade also provides access to Lazise and Garda via a tranquil pedestrian pathway.
There are plenty of wine-related activities nearby, with wine tours, a wine museum, and several vineyards for vino lovers to explore. For a fun day out, make sure you visit Gardaland – Lake Garda’s premier theme park. The park is home to numerous thrilling rides and action-packed shows.
