This must-do excursion will give you time to explore two of Sicily’s treasures – Mount Etna and Taormina. A coach will pick you up bright and early to take you across the island to Taormina. Settled on a cliff top, Taormina is one of Sicily’s prettiest – and most historic – towns. You’ll have around two and a half hours to explore and have a spot of lunch. Sip a cappuccino in the Piazza IX Aprile, browse the chic boutiques, or check out Taormina’s star attraction, its ancient Greek-Roman theatre.
Next up is Mount Etna, Sicily’s most famous landmark. You’ll travel by coach to a height of 1,900 metres, where you’ll be able to enjoy magnificent views. You’ll have another two and a half hours here, so plenty of time to have a wander.
