- Close to the beach, with sunbeds and parasols for guests
Sardinia has been captivating travellers for years and it’s not hard to see why! Italy’s glorious island is world-renowned for its out of this world beaches as well as its tastebud tantalising cuisine.
Hotel La Bisaccia enjoys a superb location overlooking the bay of Baia Sardinia, one of the island's most picturesque spots. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from a lovely sandy beach which is characterised by its plethora of discreet little coves. La Bisaccia really is the perfect choice for both couples and families who want a taste of Italian island life!
The hotel is traditionally Sardinian inside and out and is built in a typical rustic style. The hotel’s pool is found in the lovely gardens and is the place to be if you want some sunny R&R with a view! There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols and there’s even a pool bar for drinks and light refreshments.
Take a short stroll into Baia Sardinia and you’ll find everything you could need to complete your Italian holiday experience - from bars to boutiques to restaurants. Known for its glitz and glamour, the “Emerald Coast” never fails to impress!
Hotel La Bisaccia has 57 rooms (official rating 4 star). Child prices apply to ages 2-11 years. Minimum stay of 3 nights ( 4 nights between 10 July and 21 August)

About the location
Baia Sardinia remains under the radar when it comes to northern Sardinia’s beachside travel destinations. Overshadowed by the much flashier and better known Costa Smeralda just a few kilometres to the east, Baia Sardinia has none of the bigger resort’s flamboyant charms. Rather, this quiet little town is home to just a few hundred people.
However, Baia Sardinia has moved out of the shadows recently, largely due to its magnificent warm waters. These of course make it a hotspot for divers and snorkellers, but also make it an ideal resort for anyone who loves spending time by the sea. Lots of activities are centred around the water here - watersports are plentiful, and sailing is a great way to spend the day. We suggest taking a boat trip around the Maddalena archipelago to appreciate the beauty of these crystal clear waters for yourself.
What the little resort lacks in terms of big-city attractions, it more than makes up for in local evening ambience. A short stroll will bring you to the centre of Baia Sardinia, where you’ll find people of all ages and nationalities gathering in the evening. You’ll feel like a local in no time! Dining in Baia Sardinia centres around traditional Sardinian cuisine so expect a healthy dose of seafood on almost every menu. International fare is offered in most hotels.
Transfer time
The hotel is 1 hour from Olbia airport. We recommend hiring a car in your destination. Simply call us once you’ve completed your booking and we will talk you through the options.

The hotel is set in beautiful, well kept grounds and is so peaceful and chilled.
The food choice at breakfast was excellent with an omelette and egg station and we ate every morning with a wonderful view of the bay and gardens.
We had lunch a couple of times and the food was delicious but we would have liked there to be a few snack options as quite expensive for lunch. (It did say something about sides on request depending on availability on menu), although when we arrived the restaurant had finished lunch service we were offered a toastie and Caprese salad, which again were delicious.
The first couple of mornings we were too late for a sunbed by the pool, the towels were already down but this led us to the gardens, which are beautiful with loungers dotted all around and down to one of the private coves. We had a wonderful day just the four of us in a gorgeous little bay. Priceless.
We stayed in the annex building a minutes walk from the main building and the setting was stunning and perfect for the best sunset view. We would have liked some hair conditioner and body lotion and were told we couldn???t keep our water in the mini bar fridge. There were also no tea making facilities in the room. We didn???t have dinner in the restaurant as long trousers are required.
We ate in the resort every night, enough restaurants to choose from and a few shops. It was a 20 minute walk to a well stocked supermarket but there is a shop in resort that sells cold drinks and snacks.
The main beach with reserved hotel sunbeds was beautiful and the water was so clear.
We all had a wonderful, relaxing week in the most beautiful location. The hotel and its grounds are stunning and I would love to visit again

Me and my wife have just got back from a week holiday in this hotel and it's perfect. The rooms, food, drink, staff and location is perfect. We spent days relaxing by the pool or on the private beach and then the evenings at the local bars and restaurants. The sunsets here are incredible. Can't recommend this hotel enough.

Our stay was from 25/6 to 2/7. The Hotel La Bisaccia is set on a slight incline to one side of the town.
The Hotel
On arrival the check in was quick and easy, the receptionist explained things to us, and we were shown to our room and a bell boy brought our cases over as we were in the annexe part of the hotel up and across from the main building. The ground and gardens are clean and well tended and are so picturesque .
The Room
The room was lovely furnished in a unique Italian style. The bed was comfortable there was extra pillows provided with plenty of storage space. Our bathroom had shower and a bath. The views from this room from the balcony are amazing. Downside to the annexe there is no lift and a lot of steps so not suitable for people with walking disability. Ask to be situated in the main hotel building for easy access to your room. The room also has a fridge stocked with beers wines and soft drinks plus there are snacks all at an extra charge on check out. The room is cleaned daily..
The pool.
The pool is lovely with sun beds and parasol around it. The pool is very deep and not suitable for very young children unless very good swimmers. Within the grounds of the hotel if you walk down there are scattered sun beds and a small beach suitable for the youngsters also the hotel has its own space on the main beach with sun bed and parasols. You can get towels by the pool and at the beach by producing your card the hotel gives you at check in.
The food and drink
We were B+B and you were able to get omelettes with different filling made freshly to you choice end fried eggs there was something there to cater for everyone. We didn???t eat an evening meal in the hotel as we ate in the town mainly. Drinks are reasonably priced which can also be charged to your room.
The hotel staff
The staff are very polite and friendly. They try to make your stay more enjoyable and relaxing as they possibly can. I personally can???t thank the hotel enough as my wife was taken ill in the early hours one night and was rushed to hospital by ambulance. Jet2 and the hotel assisted calling a doctor who in turn referred my wife to hospital by ambulance. As I wasn???t allowed to travel in the ambulance the hotel kindly organised a taxi for me. While at the hospital for several hours the hotel kept in touch with me and showed concern, they were also able to cancel an excursion I
Booked through them and fully refunded my deposit paid which I didn???t expect. They offered to arrange return transport back to the hotel after my wife was discharged. The days after this incident the hotel kept checking we were okay and to help I. Anything we might require. I can???t thank the hotel enough and jet2 for the help in our time of need..
Summary
If you like a nice quite relaxing holiday, with exceptional service and lovely postcard views which won???t break the bank this is the place. Had a most enjoyable stay even with the incident mentioned. I will return one day definitely..,

Perfect week away in this fabulous hotel. Saline pool , views across the bay to the islands, superb staff. The grounds are lush and green with wild tortoises roaming around - and overnight wild boar too - beware! 5 minute to town with its small shops and restaurants. And its own private beach with sunloungers - plenty for all whether on the beach or poolside. Also loungers dotted around the gardens with views across the bay if you want to get away from people! All told - amazing.
