Sardinia has been captivating travellers for years and it’s not hard to see why! Italy’s glorious island is world-renowned for its out of this world beaches as well as its tastebud tantalising cuisine.
Hotel La Bisaccia enjoys a superb location overlooking the bay of Baia Sardinia, one of the island's most picturesque spots. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from a lovely sandy beach which is characterised by its plethora of discreet little coves. La Bisaccia really is the perfect choice for both couples and families who want a taste of Italian island life!
The hotel is traditionally Sardinian inside and out and is built in a typical rustic style. The hotel’s pool is found in the lovely gardens and is the place to be if you want some sunny R&R with a view! Take a short stroll into Baia Sardinia and you’ll find everything you could need to complete your Italian holiday experience - from bars to boutiques to restaurants. About the location
Baia Sardinia remains under the radar when it comes to northern Sardinia’s beachside travel destinations. Overshadowed by the much flashier and better known Costa Smeralda just a few kilometres to the east, Baia Sardinia has none of the bigger resort’s flamboyant charms. Rather, this quiet little town is home to just a few hundred people.
However, Baia Sardinia has moved out of the shadows recently, largely due to its magnificent warm waters. These of course make it a hotspot for divers and snorkellers, but also make it an ideal resort for anyone who loves spending time by the sea. Lots of activities are centred around the water here - watersports are plentiful, and sailing is a great way to spend the day. We suggest taking a boat trip around the Maddalena archipelago to appreciate the beauty of these crystal clear waters for yourself.
What the little resort lacks in terms of big-city attractions, it more than makes up for in local evening ambience. A short stroll will bring you to the centre of Baia Sardinia, where you’ll find people of all ages and nationalities gathering in the evening. You’ll feel like a local in no time! Dining in Baia Sardinia centres around traditional Sardinian cuisine so expect a healthy dose of seafood on almost every menu. International fare is offered in most hotels.

If you're looking for a typical Radisson Blu experience, look somewhere else. This hotel is truly for people that want to feel and experience Italy. It's charming, cozy, yet luxurious. The staff was amazing, the food was great and the view was just spectacular. The architecture of the hotel makes it feel like it belongs there on the beachfront of Baja Sardinia. You feel like you're actually staying in an old Italian villa with history, not just another 4 or 5 star hotel full of people that just don't care that much. It was quiet, which makes it perfect to just reset and chill. Can't recommend this place enough!

We got back from Hotel La Bisaccia, Sardinia just over a week ago, three couples for a ten day holiday B&B. Our rooms were an uphill walk from the hotel and then up eight wide steps and then eighteen steep steps without a handrail and then a long pathway to our rooms. They were modern rooms but the view was a dirt track and grass, the balcony never got any sun. As my husband and I have mobility issues we asked to be moved three times without success, the hotel was always fully booked! We did see other people struggling too. We booked direct with the hotel and there was no mention of accessibility.
The cooked breakfast was was always cold, scrambled eggs, bacon etc. the chef cooked fried eggs one at a time so there was always a queue. The coffee was too strong and only warm.
One evening we stayed in the hotel for dinner, five of us had roast beef which was really tough and mostly inedible.
The pool bar was very expensive, also the toilet was down fourteen steps so difficult to access. The toilet in reception was down steps as well.

We had a brilliant and relaxing stay here. The location is absolutely lovely, on a beautiful bay, with little coves to explore, and it's own private beach at the end of the beach on the bay.
We had a superior Double sea view, with balcony. Which was in the main building, the room was fine, and bathroom nice, the view from the balcony across the bay was just stunning. We were on the 2nd floor and I'm so glad we opted for a balcony. Perfect for watching the sunset. I guess we were in the newer renovated rooms, the other building in the grounds was having some work done to it while we were there (right at the start of season, so it was very quiet) so I assume they're working on updating those too, as I saw these mentioned in other reviews.
We didn't find the aircon was blowing any cool air out so asked reception to look at it, which we don't think anybody did as it was never fixed, but we decided we liked the view and didn't want to be moved so we left it. It was early May so pretty cool at night anyway.
The staff were really friendly, we felt very welcome. The view from the pool was also just beautiful. Worth a dip even though it was chilly, as it was very refreshing, and the sea in the bay was beautiful to swim in too.
Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice. We only stayed B&B so didn't eat at other times. We did a couple of times have a post-pool drink at the bar, which was about ??10 each for a spirit and mixer, which I would say is about expected for the area.
On check out we were charged ???16 for 4 bottles of water from the mini bar, which we hadn't actually had, we just took them out and put them on the desk above it, so we could put some other things in it. So do check your bill. I did mention it (in fairness it does say you shouldn't put your own things in the fridge), and it was removed.
There is a kettle and tea/coffee in the room that was topped up everyday.
We had a car and used it everyday, there's a lot more to explore outside of the area.
Overall a brilliant stay, we would come again, and definitely want to visit Sardinia again.
