Sardinia has been captivating travellers for years and it’s not hard to see why! Italy’s glorious island is world-renowned for its out of this world beaches as well as its tastebud tantalising cuisine.
Hotel La Bisaccia enjoys a superb location overlooking the bay of Baia Sardinia, one of the island's most picturesque spots. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from a lovely sandy beach which is characterised by its plethora of discreet little coves. La Bisaccia really is the perfect choice for both couples and families who want a taste of Italian island life!
The hotel is traditionally Sardinian inside and out and is built in a typical rustic style. The hotel’s pool is found in the lovely gardens and is the place to be if you want some sunny R&R with a view! Take a short stroll into Baia Sardinia and you’ll find everything you could need to complete your Italian holiday experience - from bars to boutiques to restaurants. Known for its glitz and glamour, the “Emerald Coast” never fails to impress!
Hotel La Bisaccia has 57 rooms (official rating 4 star) and is one of three properties in the complex (total 119 rooms with all 3 properties sharing the facilities). Child prices apply to ages 2-11 years. Minimum stay of 3 nights ( 4 nights between 10 July and 21 August)

About the location
Baia Sardinia remains under the radar when it comes to northern Sardinia’s beachside travel destinations. Overshadowed by the much flashier and better known Costa Smeralda just a few kilometres to the east, Baia Sardinia has none of the bigger resort’s flamboyant charms. Rather, this quiet little town is home to just a few hundred people.
However, Baia Sardinia has moved out of the shadows recently, largely due to its magnificent warm waters. These of course make it a hotspot for divers and snorkellers, but also make it an ideal resort for anyone who loves spending time by the sea. Lots of activities are centred around the water here - watersports are plentiful, and sailing is a great way to spend the day. We suggest taking a boat trip around the Maddalena archipelago to appreciate the beauty of these crystal clear waters for yourself.
What the little resort lacks in terms of big-city attractions, it more than makes up for in local evening ambience. A short stroll will bring you to the centre of Baia Sardinia, where you’ll find people of all ages and nationalities gathering in the evening. You’ll feel like a local in no time! Dining in Baia Sardinia centres around traditional Sardinian cuisine so expect a healthy dose of seafood on almost every menu. International fare is offered in most hotels.

We had a garden suite - oh my, just the loveliest space to relax and sleep in. The bed is uber comfortable, there is a separate living room and the bathroom is wonderful. There is a wine fridge as well as a mini bar. lots of storage space with a walk in closet and a turn down service with chocolates each night. The cleaning staff were lovely and the only problem with the room was that neither TVs, one in the bedroom or one in the living space had CNN / BBC or other English speaking channels as advertised. We were tired one evening and wanted to watch Netflix but that wasn't working either. The pool and grounds are beautiful and well kept. Why not 5 stars then ? 2 reasons, food and the staff. Breakfast was so average, I struggle to understand why people thing its excellent. Its very lame, the only freshly cooked items were eggs and omelettes. The cakes and pastries were bought in, the yogurts were cheap and watering and the whole display of food was boring and monotonous. We ate lunch twice, expensive and un-inspiring. Caesar salad with iceburg lettuce, cubes of frozen chicken for 22 euro. Some staff were pleasant but a lot seem bored. If this was self catering it would be amazing as our room, the pool and grounds were fabulous

Just returned from a wonderful week at the hotel. Had an amazing holiday. All the staff were lovely and very friendly especially Nicola & Lorenzo at reception. Alex - waiting staff and lovely lady who cleaned room 102. We had the Prestige room with Mountain View - it was amazing. So clean. Great shower in the bathroom. Superb balcony with lovely furniture. Spacious bedroom with the most comfortable bed. Half board - wow 4 course meals were amazing and great choice even for my daughter who is vegetarian. Panoramic pool area with great Sun loungers - loved the mattress. Pool was salt water and amazing being able to float. Shallow area for younger swimmers. Great views of the bay and the yachts. Beach access included - the clearest water and soft sand. Hotel has beautiful manicured grounds with different areas with sunbeds. Overall great holiday at a super hotel. Will be back. Thankyou to all the staff

I stayed here in August 2025 with my husband and parents and wanted to pass along my thanks for a beautiful stay. We stayed in the Prestige Rooms in the main building which were absolutely stunning and worth the upgrade. The hotel itself was very well kept and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The private coves were to die for, so peaceful and a lovely alternative from the main beach - although the hotels private section on the beach was lovely.
But the main highlight was the food! I'm usually a hotel food skeptic, but it was absolutely outstanding. Traditional Sardinian flavours and ingredients were featured every single night. I'm a vegetarian and I was pleasantly surprised with the numerous options and flavour pairings. Thank you for a gorgeous stay - I can't wait to come back!
One additional thing, a few reviews mentioned a "wasp problem". There were plenty of traps set up in the trees which were very effective.

Just checked out & loved our stay . The hotel is full of character & is split into a main building & large annexe. Probably needs a little bit of refurb in places but was clean & had charm. Our room was in the annexe & was quiet & comfortable with a nice balcony overlooking the bay. Those who aren???t as mobile may be better in the main building
Pool area was great - overlooking the breathtaking bay. The water was quite deep so careful with kids.
The restaurant was really good with the same views. Food was very good - breakfasts had lots of healthy options & we ate twice in the evening - there were 2 menus , one changed daily.
All public areas were very clean & full of character . As I mentioned & in common with older hotels some refurb needed but not to lose the character
It was a 5/10 minute walk into the small centre for about 15 restaurants, 15 mins to supermarket
Staff were really friendly & helpful
Overall I would recommend the hotel & Sardinia generally

We visited this hotel in early August. It is in a beautiful location with amazing and beautiful grounds. The gardens are vast and so well kept. The pool is large and very clean. (It is sea water which was fine). We had a beautiful superior Seaview room. The food is amazing - breakfast was plentiful and the omelettes great. Plenty of options for lunch and a lovely varied dinner menu. The staff in all areas are friendly, helpful and very professional. We received a fantastic service, especially from the pool bar staff and the reception and concierge.
There are some lovely restaurants and bars just a short five minute walk away. Porto Cervo 10 mins by taxi. I would describe the hotel as quiet but not in a negative way. There were plenty of sun beds available no matter what time you arrived at the pool. Evenings are quiet with a pianist playing in the background. We had a lovely and relaxing time at this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for couples. Not really for young children.
