About the location
Lazise is one of Lake Garda’s hidden gems – a medieval walled town with heaps of charm and a winning location. Surrounded by dramatic fortress walls just as it was many centuries ago, Lazise feels almost undiscovered and provides the perfect option for those with a taste for the authentic.
Lazise’s many restaurants and cafes are spread between the harbour promenade and the picturesque Piazza V Emanuele, with the square also containing a handful of local boutiques. With chequerboard flooring and pastel-shaded houses, this piazza is one of the most beautiful found anywhere in the Lakes region, and can be enjoyed from the terraces of the lively pavement cafes dotting its edge. Alternatively, the lakefront promenade is great for a relaxing stroll with panoramic views, and also provides plenty of opportunities to dine close to the water’s edge.
You'll find several theme parks and towns just a short drive away. Situated just 10 minutes from the town, Gardaland is one of Lake Garda’s biggest attractions, offering dozens of thrilling rides and fun shows. There’s also the popular Caneva Waterpark close by, which is perfect for those balmy Mediterranean days. A little further away is the ancient city of Verona, which can be reached in just 25 minutes.

I stayed at the Corte Valier twice with my husband and my parents four times. We are every time amazed by this hotel. First, food is amazing, the variety of choices at the buffet, the quality of the food is one of the best. Everything you want, they make it for you. We celebrated the New Year's and it was a blast! The apetizers buffet was huge, it took place in the main hall area up to the bar. There was a photographer who took us beautiful pictures in front of the 2025 decoration. Then we went in the dining area for the dinner, it was so well-organised that it went so quickly. The entertainment with the live singers was lovely. They gave us the bottle to open up and from the lake we could see all the fireworks. Then we went for the dessert buffet, it was a dream! The disco music was so fun. We enjoyed so much. The room was perfectly clean, they came also during dinner time to put it in order. The hotel is going under some maintenance, such as the outside area in the swimming pool. I will also focus on the cleaning of the indoor swimming pool. Staff is extremely polite, it looks like to be in a large family. We will come back!

Superb location literally on the lake edge and 5 minutes along the beautiful promenade to the centre of Lazise. We had a room with a side view which was spotless and had a seating area onto the garden. It has a great pool area with loungers and lots of shaded grass areas. Breakfasts served on the terrace next to the pool overlooking the lake were a highlight of our stay. As expected in a quality hotel the staff were excellent. Location for us is very important and this gets a 10. Bike rental is available at 10 euros for the full day which we made use of.

A lovely hotel, very clean, superb swimming pool. A good location, but very few British people there. The waiters English was limited and we got the impression that they preferred German and Austrian guests to us, and at times we felt a bit of an inconvenience. My husband asked at the pool bar for two beers and the waiter put his hand up to stop him speaking and carried on talking to another waiter. We did have a lovely holiday but we didn???t feel welcome there.
