- Charming hotel in the centre of Gardone, close to the lakefront
- Elegantly furnished and boasts stunning lake views from the terrace

Designed by the architect Enrico Shafer, The Hotel Savoy Palace dates back to 1904 and continues to embody the elegance of Art Nouveau after its grand reopening in 1999. Its Neo-classical setting comprised of marble, stone and precious wood has welcomed the most distinguished guests such as international Royalty, Gabriele d’Annunzio and Winston Churchill.
Elegantly furnished public rooms and guestrooms are accompanied by the stunning views from the hotel’s terrace, which is a lovely setting for an aperitivo before sampling the Hotel Savoy Palace’s excellent cuisine.
The Hotel Savoy Palace's swimming pool is set on a leafy lawn that looks out over the lake, and a broad range of facilities such as a fitness room, sauna and whirlpool are available in addition to Beach Rimbalzello, which is only 50m away.
A well-established hotel in the heart of Gardone Riviera, the Hotel Savoy Palace is a wonderful retreat from which to discover the highlights of Lake Garda such as the nearby Villa Il Vittoriale, which was once the home to Italy’s celebrated literary figure, Gabriele d’Annunzio.

About the location
Gardone is an elegant resort on the west banks of Lake Garda. This peaceful town boasts a lovely lakeside promenade, bordered by immaculate flowerbeds and lined with charming cafes and trattorie. Spend your afternoons on one of the many benches that line the promenade, watching the world go by with a latte or cappuccino.
A short walk uphill from the lake will take you to Gardone Sopra, the historic centre. Here, you’ll find the eccentric II Vittoriale, a complex of squares, gardens and water features with some of the town’s best views over the lake. Nearby, the botanic Heller Gardens – one of the leading attractions in Lake Garda – are waiting to be explored. Established between 1910 and 1971, the gardens showcase exotic plants and species from around the world, with fountains and works of modern art dotted between the greenery.
For those wanting to explore further, a regular ferry service will take you to Lake Garda’s eastern towns, and it’s also possible to visit other west-shore resorts by bus.

The hotel is 1 hour 15 minutes from Verona airport. Return private transfers included. To change your transfers or book car hire instead, simply call us once you’ve completed your booking.

Just returned home today from Savoy Palace, Gardone Riviera, lake Garda.
Had a fabulous week, the hotel is absolutely lovely the staff exceptional and the area stunningly beautiful.
We stayed with friends and all agreed, that we need to
Return.
We booked bed and breakfast and due to Covid 19, there were mornings when it appeared that staff in restaurant were a bit overwhelmed, but the breakfast was lovely.
We enjoyed the complimentary spa each day, a real treat.
Again, due to COVID-19, the resort was a bit quiet, but we were within walking distance to Salo, which was livelier.
There is also the benefit of being able to avail of the lake
Ferries, which are reasonably priced and allow for investigation of the other resorts.
Of course, the food in the region overall was excellent, as you would expect, so be prepared to over-eat.
Regarding Covid19, everyone wore masks in public areas, there was hand sanitizer everywhere and there was no sense of overcrowding or danger.
I would strongly recommend.

We booked this hotel as we couldn't get booked into our usual hotel in Gardone Riviera, and were not disappointed!
We had a deluxe room across the lake with a balcony, the room was amazing - big, spotlessly clean (which the cleaning team did a fab job during the stay) with fabulous views of the lake, with huge and very comfy beds, with fresh white linen.
The hotel is in a perfect location for reaching the restaurants on the promenade in 30 seconds.
We also enjoyed the happy hour cocktails on the beautiful roof terrace with the fab waiter Massimo making beautiful drinks. The best Bellini I have tasted!
The pool area was lovely, and we enjoyed lots of time in the pool.
We were often served breakfast by Bettina during our stay who was fab and very friendly. The breakfast was the only slight disappointment with our stay. The selection was small and I am not sure if the offering has been reduced in light of C-19... Rather than going to a buffet we had to ask for some items (no problems with this, but we were never sure what we could actually ask for) so we thought a menu would be useful, and perhaps a little more choice.
We were lucky enough to be able to park outside the hotel for free during our stay which was also great.
Would definitely return to this hotel - would advise booking directly as we got a much better rate than other booking websites.
Would definitely recommend and hope to return one day!

I stayed here as part of a travel company tour. Upon entering the hotel, I was struck by how clean it was. My huge double bedroom and en-suite bathroom were absolutely spotless. Those maids have very high standards and it is lovely to see throughout the Savoy. Staff are friendly and approachable and speak good English. I wish my Italian was as good.
A great selection of food at breakfast time. All nicely laid out with enough space in between displays so you are not colliding with other guests. The usual continental fayre, plus cereals, bread, eggs, bacon, cold meats/cheeses, yoghurts, juice. Enough to feed you until lunchtime.
Evening meals were okay. As part of a tour group we had a set menu each day and so choice was limited. Vegetables were in short supply with each meal, more vegetables would have been lovely. However, they redeemed themselves with their excellent choice of desserts and there was a lovely cheese board on offer.
The banqueting staff were very efficient and friendly and Jimmy was a favourite amongst most of our group.
Up in the bar area where Kai was holding the fort each night. He???s an excellent barman and never forgets your order, even though he???s on his own the whole time. He???s got a fab sense of humour, very cheeky!
The outside area is attractive with plenty of flowers and foliage. The pool area is a small and intimate space, perfect for soaking up those rays. Upstairs is a wonderful terrace, overlooking the Lake, another area for relaxing with a good book.
All in all a great hotel and an establishment I would certainly come back to should I find myself in Lake Garda again.

As usual we were greeted with a very warm friendly welcome by the lovely reception staff who couldn't do more to make all guests have a comfortable stay . No surprises as we have been so many times before and have the same Lake view room . Lovely location and the beautiful pool perfect for swimming and relaxing around . Well worth having half board as the evening meal offers a very extensive and delicious choice which is different every evening , unlike most of the local restaurants which only offer the usual pizza ,pasta tourist menus which are fine for lunch but can get very boring . Hope to make it back to our favourite place in Europe next year .
