Step into the luxuries of the Belle Époque with the refined and charming Hotel Savoy Palace, wonderfully situated in the centre of Gardone and separated from the lake only by pedestrianised promenade.

Designed by the architect Enrico Shafer, The Hotel Savoy Palace dates back to 1904 and continues to embody the elegance of Art Nouveau after its grand reopening in 1999. Its Neo-classical setting comprised of marble, stone and precious wood has welcomed the most distinguished guests over the years.

Elegantly furnished public rooms and guestrooms are accompanied by the stunning views from the hotel’s terrace, which is a lovely setting for an aperitivo before sampling the Hotel Savoy Palace’s excellent cuisine.

The Hotel Savoy Palace's swimming pool is set on a leafy lawn that looks out over the lake, and a broad range of facilities such as a fitness room, sauna and whirlpool are available in addition to Beach Rimbalzello, which is only 50m away.

A well-established hotel in the heart of Gardone Riviera, the Hotel Savoy Palace is a wonderful retreat from which to discover the highlights of Lake Garda such as the nearby Villa Il Vittoriale, which was once the home to Italy’s celebrated literary figure, Gabriele d’Annunzio.

About the location

Gardone is an elegant resort on the west banks of Lake Garda. This peaceful town boasts a lovely lakeside promenade, bordered by immaculate flowerbeds and lined with charming cafes and trattorie. Spend your afternoons on one of the many benches that line the promenade, watching the world go by with a latte or cappuccino. 

A short walk uphill from the lake will take you to Gardone Sopra, the historic centre. Here, you’ll find the eccentric II Vittoriale, a complex of squares, gardens and water features with some of the town’s best views over the lake. Nearby, the botanic Heller Gardens – one of the leading attractions in Lake Garda – are waiting to be explored. Established between 1910 and 1971, the gardens showcase exotic plants and species from around the world, with fountains and works of modern art dotted between the greenery.

For those wanting to explore further, a regular ferry service will take you to Lake Garda’s eastern towns, and it’s also possible to visit other west-shore resorts by bus.
