Parc Hotel Germano Suites

Despite negative reviews on here, our experience at Parc Germano was exceptional. The staff were kind and helpful, the apartments spacious and spotless, and the whole complex felt calm and inviting. We enjoyed several delicious meals at the restaurant, and breakfast offered a generous self-service spread with omelettes on request. The terraces allowed for beautiful views of the lake, especially at sunset for a pre dinner drink. It is stunning. It???s about a 10-minute downhill walk into Bardolino, which is absolutely beautiful and a joy to explore. There is also a bus stop at end of road which could take you easily into town. We loved every minute.

Where to start. We have been coming to this hotel since 2016. It was a firm favourite for us. On check in we were asked if this was our first time. Obviously our name no longer flags up as regular guests. We checked in to our room. According to their web site . they had just had a renovation. Clearly our room missed the update. The floor was filthy though out our 10 day stay. You had to wear slippers or your feed would be black from the dirt. They used to leave a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine in the room. This has now been replaced with 6 jelly sweets and a packet of sunflower seeds. The pull out bed was unmade. So making a bed at 11pm was not a great start. The pull out bed felt dirty was ripped in the corner and smelt of rotting cheese. Our fridge was not replenished once in our stay so I ended up going to the local supermarket to get water. The milk was not replenished either and when I asked for it to be the receptionist told me to get milk from the restaurant. The silent pool is no longer silent. With people jumping in splashing and playing ball games. Not once did a staff member greet me with a smile at breakfast and again nothing was replenished. So I ended up buying breakfast items from the supermarket. The air conditioner did not work in the bedroom and I advised reception yet no one was sent down to fix it. Your private terrace is no longer private. With guests walking across and stopping to chat right where you???re trying to relax. One guest even stood outside to have a smoke. When i asked her to not too she just looked at me and blew smoke in the air. The lift to reception was filthy and never cleaned. Staff in snack bar are rude and off hand This is far from a 4 star hotel. It used to be so nice I paid a lot to stay here but I have found a boutique hotel down by the lake where I will be staying next year.

We had a great 11 night stay at Parc Germano and I would recommend this to friends and family. We were two adults and a 10 year old staying in Superior 2 bed apartment in August. Hotel- the suites and apartments are spread out amongst the gardens. The setting is quiet and peaceful and the grounds are well kept. The tall trees prevent you having a view of the lake from most areas of the site but you can see it from the restaurant/roof top bar. 2 bed apartment- this was much bigger than we expected, clean and the air con was excellent. The air on is controlled centrally but you can ring reception any time to ask them to turn it up or down. Beds were comfy, the shower was good. Sunbeds and table and chairs outside. The kitchen had everything we needed apart from a chopping board and a good knife. Toilet roll, shower gel, moisturiser and tissues were provided. Despite being told that it would be serviced every 7 days, they cleaned and replaced bedding and towels every 3-4 days, which was good. Facilities- we used the family pool which was lovely and clean. There were always sun loungers available at any time of the day. There is a snack bar for food, ice cream and drinks during the day. We didn???t use the indoor pool or the spa. The gym was a bit disappointing with no aircon and outdated equipment. Staff- were generally helpful and friendly. Not all staff spoke good English and so we felt sometimes our messages got lost in translation. Restaurant- we ate breakfast twice and dinner once. The breakfast choice was good, our son was disappointed they didn???t have pancakes but they had everything else you could have asked for including a juicing machine. The dinner menu had many options and the food was great and priced similar to the restaurants in Bardolino. Location- a 10 minute walk to a lovely part of the lake, where you can swim in the lake and sit on the stones/grass at the lakeside, a number of bars/cafes in this area too. Not too busy, there is a basketball court and skatepark area for kids. A 10-15 minute walk into the centre of Bardolino with its many lovely restaurants. If you don???t have a car, the nearest supermarket is 15 minutes walk away. There is a shop along the main road at the nearest campsite (8 minutes walk away) but this is expensive. You can get fresh bread if you order the night before with reception but a small shop on site would have been helpful. This would be my main negative feedback. Overall a great option if you are looking for an apartment with a pool, with the option of breakfast and dinner on site.
