Tremezzo Holidays

Located on the western shores of Lake Como, Tremezzo has a particularly mild climate, and a well-to-do atmosphere thanks to the beautiful villas that nestle on its shores. The area is nicknamed the Azalea Riviera due to the many azaleas and camellias that decorate the landscape. Tremezzo is perhaps best known as the home of Villa Carlotta, a spectacular 18th-century villa with more than 17 acres of manicured gardens; and Villa del Balbianello, an elaborate mansion that had a starring role in Casino Royale.

The town’s crowning glory is the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, which features one of the lake’s only floating swimming pools. Moments away from the hotel and lakefront are a cluster of restaurants and eateries. The petite gelateria is one of the most popular venues, and a must-visit on a hot summer’s day.

Tremezzo is close to numerous ferry routes too, making it easy for visitors to reach neighbouring towns like Bellagio and Varenna.
