- Situated in the centre of Bellagio opposite the main boat landing stage
- Panoramic roof terrace with sunbeds and beautiful views of Lake Como
A Citalia favourite for over 40 years, the Hotel Du Lac is situated in a small piazza of Bellagio opposite the lake's landing stage from where the boats and hydrofoils operate.
In addition to its delightful history, Hotel Du Lac owes much of its charm to the owners, whose wonderful hospitality, personal service and excellent home cooking extend all the way back to 1956. Soon after the Leoni family became the proprietors, the hotel had already become such a popular venue for afternoon tea at the weekends that fleets of boats had to sit patiently before finding a space at the landing stage! Its founder, Arturo Leoni, would signal from the terrace with a flag to notify one of the boats when a table under the portico was free. The lake views are outstanding, especially from the first floor restaurant and attractive roof garden.
The lively café-bar, set under the porticoes on the ground floor, serves snacks at lunchtime and is a lovely place to sip a coffee in the afternoon or enjoy a chilled drink as evening approaches.
The Hotel Du Lac’s ideal position in the main piazza near to the landing stage ensures guests can easily visit the beautiful towns surrounding Lake Como by ferry and enjoy some of the most picturesque views.
The hotel has 42 rooms (official rating 3 star) Child prices apply to ages 2-12 years. Minimum stay 3 nights.

About the location
Holidays to Bellagio have long been associated with luxury, opulent architecture and unrivalled natural beauty. Often recognised as one of the most stunning destinations in the world, Bellagio, commonly referred to as the Pearl of Lake Como, is one of three towns in the Golden triangle - the others being Menaggio and Varenna.
Lake Como is
Italy’s third largest lake and the picture perfect pre-Roman town of Bellagio is the perpetual favourite for holidaymakers seeking to experience the unwavering charm that this enchanting town has to offer. Even with its partially steep streets, exploring the small town can be done on foot or by bicycle, though local busses, water taxis, ferries and even speedboats are alternative options to explore further afield. Popular for its water activities, rowing, kayaking and kite surfing can also be enjoyed on Lake Como’s calm waters.
Back on land, numerous boutique shops selling jewellery, clothes, antiques, porcelains and potteries line the mazy cobbled streets. Culinary delights, typical of the Lombardy region, can be sampled in the main piazza’s waterfront bars and restaurants, accompanied by local wine harvested in North Lake Como and Montevecchia. Famed for its panoramic snow-capped views of The Alps, tree-lined slopes and romantic garden views, Bellagio is also known for its villas, primarily Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni.

My boyfriend and I loved the hotel. It being rated a 3 star hotel in Italy and being on dock of the lake, I did not have high expectations despite the reviews. However, when we saw our room I was pleasantly surprised! The photos online don???t do it justice as the window was much larger and was in fact a door overlooking onto the lake ( highly recommend paying a little bit more for this option!). Hotel staff were kind and the view onto the lake from where you have breakfast is unbeatable. Also, the hotel staff were kind, the room was perfectly cleaned and seemed new and the breakfast was quite decent. All in all I would definitely go back to stay! I never write reviews, but felt compelled to.

We booked this Hotel after reading lots of reviews on Trip Advisor and it didn???t disappoint.
We had a lake view on the fourth floor with two Juliette balcony windows. This was a good sized room with a sofa and seating area and a smart bathroom with large windows but plenty of privacy.
The high ceilings give a feeling of space and airiness and the room was immaculately clean.
Breakfast is very well organised with a sensible mask policy when using the self serve areas but a very relaxed feeling when eating food.
Excellent selection of everything you???d expect of an Italian breakfast with plenty of pastries, continental meats. Decent coffee machine with plenty of options.
Eggs and Bacon,etc.
The outside eating area is perfect, having decent outside heating installed makes such a difference, nothing worse than opting to eat outside and then the chill of the outside temperature ruining the evening.
The food was excellent all round and the service was spot on, not over fussy but always a member of staff with their head up and eyes open looking out for customers.
You will not be disappointed!
