About the location
Holidays to Bellagio have long been associated with luxury, opulent architecture and unrivalled natural beauty. Often recognised as one of the most stunning destinations in the world, Bellagio, commonly referred to as the Pearl of Lake Como, is one of three towns in the Golden triangle - the others being Menaggio and Varenna.
Lake Como is Italy’s
third largest lake and the picture perfect pre-Roman town of Bellagio is the perpetual favourite for holidaymakers seeking to experience the unwavering charm that this enchanting town has to offer. Even with its partially steep streets, exploring the small town can be done on foot or by bicycle, though local busses, water taxis, ferries and even speedboats are alternative options to explore further afield. Popular for its water activities, rowing, kayaking and kite surfing can also be enjoyed on Lake Como’s calm waters.
Back on land, numerous boutique shops selling jewellery, clothes, antiques, porcelains and potteries line the mazy cobbled streets. Culinary delights, typical of the Lombardy region, can be sampled in the main piazza’s waterfront bars and restaurants, accompanied by local wine harvested in North Lake Como and Montevecchia. Famed for its panoramic snow-capped views of The Alps, tree-lined slopes and romantic garden views, Bellagio is also known for its villas, primarily Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni.
The hotel is 1 hour 40 minutes from Malpensa. Return private transfers included. To change your transfers or book car hire instead, simply call us once you’ve completed your booking.

Beautiful property that never disappoints. Even during these trying times with the pandemic it takes your breath away. The staff are truly 5 stars, Always make a point to visit its excellent restaurant La Goleta with a gorgeous view of the lake and great food and then a short walk to Carlos Bar to see bartender Alessandro for some great conversation and the best Margarita this side of California ... or a fine glass of wine selected from his encyclopedic knowledge of grapes. You can???t go wrong. It really is a comfortable place that makes you feel at home. Highly highly recommend.

The Villa Serbelloni is a really elegant and magical place. It's like stepping back into a sophisticated world from the turn of last century where waiters and barmen wear white dinner jackets, a pianist serenades your evening cocktails in a grand ballroom and the staff all go out of the way to be good humoured and chat to you. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for staff that clearly love the place with some telling us they had worked there for decades. We had a very peaceful and romantic stay for our honeymoon.
The rooms were gorgeous with beautiful linen, and the breakfasts on the terrace were a high point for us to watch the morning unfurl over the water and mountains in the distance.
We visited the competition around the lake for lunches and dinners, and for us the Serbelloni won as we loved all the antiques and sculpted ceilings, and the feel that we had moved into an old palace for a week. Its right on the lake so there is no noise from a road, you can jump in directly from the steps and then get lost in the gardens. We would love to return and were extremely charmed by the experience.
