Trevi Fountain

The Fontana di Trevi is one of the most impressive sites in Rome. Tucked away in a small piazza, this beautiful baroque fountain attracts thousands of visitors each year, nearly all of them traditionally throwing in a coin to ensure their return to the Eternal City. Rome’s largest fountain was designed by Nicola Salvi in 1732, completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762, and depicts Neptune's chariot being led by Tritons with seahorses.
