Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Casa Verardo very much. First impressions matter as they say. ???Hans??? checked us in and graciously invitef us to relax in their elegant and historic courtyard while our room was readied. A glass of wine in that picturesque spot was perfect after walking from the Santa Lucia train station. Highly recommend!

Wow, this hotel was absolutely fabulous from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We visited Venice as a family for our daughter???s 21st birthday and the hotel made a real fuss of her on her actual birthday. We had two rooms in the annex which is a small bridge away from the main hotel. The rooms were absolutely beautiful, spacious, tea and coffee tray, lovely bathroom. One of the rooms had a very cute terrace. I had emailed the hotel prior to our arrival to ask for directions and twin beds in one of the rooms. I had a very prompt response from Alessandro the manager which was really welcoming and very good directions from the Vaparetto stop closest to the hotel. We had a recommendation from the reception staff for a restaurant which was amazing, very good service and stunning food - I can???t remember the name but they had business cards at reception and they made the reservation for us. All the staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Venice is absolutely stunning and we will definitely be back next year and will definitely be staying at The Casa Verardo hotel. Thanks to all the staff who made our stay so good.

Two nights at the Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza d'Epoca with my party of six (3 adults/3 kids. We stayed in the annex building which is meters from the reception. It was code access and although there seemed to be other rooms in the annex we did not see anyone else the duration of the stay. The room itself is impressive and the consensus favourite hotel from our 3-week european vacation. Clean, spacious, well decorated and oozing with history. You can watch the gondolas and people navigating the narrow streets from your room. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful. The courtyard was a great area for relaxing after long days exploring the city. The front desk were helpful and provided some great tips for excursions. Not the hotels fault but don't make the same mistake that I did. Upon arrival via train at Santa Lucia, we took the vaporetto to san zaccaria and I expected the walk to be minutes as the hotel suggest. However, after entering the hotel name on google maps it took me on a 25 minute walk/adventure in each direction with 3 suitcases, over many bridges to an apartment block rather than the hotel. For some reason on google maps the hotel is called "Boutique Hotel Casa Verado". After finally arriving at the actual hotel, we were hot, sweaty and exhausted. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough for large families !
