About the location
Everyone knows about Pisa’s Leaning Tower and magnificent baroque basilica, but look behind these brochure cover stars and you’ll find an array of modem museums, picturesque piazzas and exceptional restaurants vying for your attention. Of course, the city’s wonky bell tower is its main draw and is entirely deserving of its worldwide fame. Taking a novelty photo in front of the tower is great fun – book ahead if you want to climb to the top to avoid the queues. The entire area, known as the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and packs plenty of appeal. Along with the tower, you can visit landmarks including the 11th-century marble-clad duomo and the remarkable baptistery, believed to be the largest in Italy.
Wander just a few streets away and you’ll discover a much more typical Pisan scene; locals milling about beneath rustic townhouses, and bustling cafes nestled in peaceful squares. Piazza de Cavalieri and Piazza Dante are two such examples of the authentic Pisa that many miss. Pisa’s botanical gardens are also worth a visit, and feature numerous rare plants set in surprisingly tranquil surroundings, especially considering their location is just a 10-minute stroll from the city’s famous Leaning Tower.

We loved everything about the hotel! We stayed there at the end of September and it was my boyfriend's birthday, I contacted the hotel before to see if they can make something for his birthday - they decorated the room complimentary and we were very pleasantly surprised and we loved it! Unfortunately, we had an early flight and we couldn't try the breakfast, but overall we would stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel for easy airport and train station access. We booked a double room but got a twin bed instead which was slightly annoying. The chap who checked us couldn't tell us what was open (it was past 11pm) in order to purchase some water. No basic, local knowledge there. Room was adequate but not really sound proof, maybe from outside but I could hear other gusts through the walls. Bathroom looked a bit tired and rusty in parts. In need of changing some parts of the equipment. Breakfast was fine although a bit chaotic due to new covid measures. Overall a good choice for Pisa and I would stay again.

A friend and I travelled to Pisa recently to get away for a long weekend. We were glad to have chosen this hotel. It had great transport links to Florence which we would definitely recommend visiting if you're in the area, and as Pisa isn't huge, it was close enough to walk to all the sights you wanted to see.
We had a lovely receptionist assist us at check in (Jolanda) who recommended some great restaurants in the area and couldn't be more helpful.
The only improvement I'd ask was a better range of breakfast products, and although I understand that due to Covid the breakfast set up was different, I feel it could've run a little more smoothly, HOWEVER, the employees were all super helpful when you could find them :D
Great for a few days away. Cleanliness was also very good.
