Our first stop is Pienza, just 1.5 hours from Florence, one of the most beautiful "Borgos " in Tuscany, also known as the 'ideal town'. Here, you'll have free time to wander through the enchanting "borgo", marvel at the Renaissance architecture in Piazza Pio II, and indulge in local specialties in charming "botteghe". Next, you will start the guided tour from the heart of the historic centre, Piazza Pio II. You will visit the main sites like the Duomo of Santa Maria Assunta and Palazzo Piccolomini.

Next, dive into the medieval grandeur of Montalcino. Dominated by its massive fortress, with a tranquil atmosphere and beautiful steep alleys, Montalcino is the most authentic borgo of the Val d'Orcia area. Wander the peaceful streets and make your way to the Piazza del Popolo for a coffee to recharge your batteries before visiting the interactive Temple of Brunello museum, and enjoy a light lunch expertly paired with local wines.

Conclude your tour at the tranquil Sant’Antimo Abbey, a testament to ancient Benedictine heritage, set amidst picturesque landscapes. After a quick visit to the Abbey, it's time to enjoy the scenic route back to Florence.
