Enjoying the stunning views of the bay of Marina Lunga as well as the Castle of Lipari, the Mea Lipari boutique hotel boasts 37 comfortable rooms, ranging from cozy Classic rooms to spacious Suites. Located close to the historical centre of Lipari town, you can lose yourself in its pretty streets with shops and restaurants offering local specialities or visit some of its sites including archaeological museum, cathedral as well as the famous “castello”.

After a day of exploring the island, relax at one of the hotel’s two swimming pools, enjoying a chilled drink from the pool bar. Later, head to the Chimera Restaurant and savour some traditional Aeolian flavours whilst admiring the beautiful views over the bay.

In the morning the rich buffet breakfast will set you up for another day of exploring the island, alternatively take an advantage of one of the many boat trips available and visit the rest of the beautiful islands within the Aeolian archipelago.

The hotel has 37 rooms (official rating 4 star). Child prices apply to ages 2-12 years. Minimum stay 4 nights during August.

About the location

Holidays in Lipari take you to the beautiful area of Sicily and the Aeolian Islands, which can be found just off Italy’s south west coast. The island is set out over 15 square miles, and is still the largest of the Aeolian Islands. It offers beautiful scenery and an untouched feel you won’t find in many places.

Lipari is home to the cave where god of the winds, Aeolus, is said to have given Ulysses the bag of wind which aided his tour of the Mediterranean and is ideal for history lovers, as well as those wanting to simply relax. Explore little fishing villages and interior towns by bike or hire a car and find hidden coves, pretty beaches and plenty of historical sights.

Head to Lipari’s Archaeological Museum where you can learn about this fascinating island, and its past as a Greek, Roman and Italian owned island. If you prefer to spend your holidays relaxing, there is a Roman sauna cave, as well as spa baths which date back to the ancient times, in nearby Vulcano.

Transfer time

The hotel is 3hr 15 mins from Catania Airport, via private transfer and ferry. Please note that the ferry will not operate in adverse weather conditions. Return private transfers included. To change your transfers or book car hire instead, simply call us once you’ve completed your booking.
