Masseria Montenapoleone is a beautiful farmhouse located among the fields of italian goods. The surrounding area is really calming and beautifully arranged. You could walk through the whole object and discover its fields, animals and beauty. The small amount of rooms in the object makes it peaceful and quiet place. Rooms are mostly big and well furnished. We were truly pleased with our Aranciata room - beautifully decorated, fragrant & spacious with its own beautiful patio among green plants, although Mandarin didn't meet our expectations - the room was mostly dark, steamy and comparing to our second room poorly designed, what is more there were almost unable to sit on the balcony during the daytime, because of heat. Poolside area with the restaurant and breakfast area were truly magical, ideal place to chill during daytime. The big amount of trees and plants around make you don't feel the high temperatures, the smell of herbs gives a true experience of masseria life. The staff is mostly really helpful and nice. They are masters of small talk, always smiling and joking. The cleaning ladies offered extremely good service - the room was always so clean and nice.
But we didn't like the small amount of dishes to choose from the dinner menu. We understand that is the key to keep quality, but after 3 dinners in a row we had nothing to choose from. The prices are quite high (especially 10??? drinks) comparing to other places around and with the same quality. So we recommend to not only eat in the masseria, but sometimes to go to Torre Canne/ Fasano/Ostuni. We were also quite dissatisfied with the waitress service during dinners - some of them didn't speak English so it was sometimes really hard to understood each other. We also had a problem with "missing wines" after dinner. It is common (or at least common in the places I visited) that after dinner if you won't drink the whole bottle of wine, it goes to another dinner and you don't have to lose a half and order a new bottle of wine again. Well, it wasn't that clear. Almost 3 halfs of our bottles were missing, we payed attention to the stuff, but it took two another dinners to got noticed and to regain at least one bottle.
