The hotel retains its character and charm whilst set amongst beautifully warm colour schemes and refined furnishings. The outdoor pool is surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens with wonderfully fragrant flowers and a symphony of colourful flora. About the location
Benevello is a one-road village that snakes its way through some of the most foodie-friendly countryside in Italy.
On the surface, it’s an unassuming place. A smattering of trattorias squeeze between well-worn houses with wrought-iron Juliet balconies. And the little piazza stars the Parrocchia di Benevello – an antique church with copper and gold brickwork.
Dig a little deeper, and you’ll discover that Benevello is one of the most exclusive foodie hideouts in Italy. The restaurants might look homely, but the chefs are award-winning. The risotto is some of the best on the planet and plates often look too good to eat.
Relais & Châteaux and Michelin have a foothold here too, so the handful of hotels in town are seriously luxurious (we’ve handpicked a converted 19th-century farmhouse with wide-open country views for our collection). Benevello’s foodie credentials don’t stop there, either. It’s the first village in the rippling hills of the Langhe – one of the top wine-making regions in Italy.
Fancy a change of pace? Head for the cathedrals, markets, wine bars and Michelin restaurants of Alba. This little city is only a 20-minute drive away from Benevello. Bra – home of the Slow Food movement – is just up the road, too.
Transfer time
Car hire is recommended for this hotel. Benevello is 1 hour 30 minutes from Turin airport. Simply call us once you’ve completed your booking and we will talk you through the options.

I was lucky enough to stay at the beautiful Villa d'Amelia with Ormina Tours in 2019 and I LOVED my stay. The outlook from my room looking on to the rolling hills dotted with vineyards was breathtaking. We enjoyed a private wine masterclass in the courtyard and leared all about the wines from the region. The dinner was beyond words with each dish better than the last. I would highly recommend!

I can only highly recommend this place - even for a stay in November (for the Alba Truffle festival) ! We were looked after so well by such a friendly team, given a great room with a little garden as we came with our labrador. Stunning views from most of the rooms and the restaurant. Lovely outdoor heated pool, then a relax in the Wellness centre with its sauna, steam room and hot tub. We had a drink in the very comfortable and attractive bar, ate in the DaMa restaurant (not Michelin star but you wouldn't have known it!) really delicious food and great wine recommendation. All in all a great experience and we will be back.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Villa d'Amelia. The property was beautiful and in a great location of Peidmont. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The main restaurant at the hotel was very good. Our dining experience at Damiano Nigro was incredible.
To facilitate our wine focused visit, we hired Daniela Maracine (
[email protected]) as our driver for three days to get us to and from the hotel and the wineries. She was prompt in pick up and drop off, a great driver, and catered to our schedules. Daniela added so much to our experience! Most importantly she made sure to point out the beauty of each town of Piedmont and ensured we got to see as much as we could during our visit. Daniele helped to schedule lunch reservations and scheduled an additional special wine visit for us. Our trip would not have been the same without her guidance! I highly recommend to reach out to Daniela if you are staying the area.
We truly enjoyed our stay and will absolutely be back to this part of Italy some day again!
