Wonderful helpful staff, Great location found by accident very romantic. Can’t praise staff highly enough Charged top wack for cheap wine 38 euro for 5 euro wine 2 bottles But worth the experience Second bottle was corked view is amazing Big thank you to both the staff for memorable evening

This hotel is full of return clients because it is so special. The building and it's location are just the start as the staff are delightful, hard working and are always ready to smile. we stayed here as part of a walking holiday and loved coming back to our room overlooking the lake and resting before enjoying a delicious meal each night. Hotel Cannero is movie set pretty by the Lago Maggiore in the pocket size town of Cannero. The hotel’s decor and appointments have all the lovely touches that show the owner is close by monitoring everything. The outside seating areas, adjacent bar spot, endless potted geraniums and picturesque balconies add so much to the old school dolce vita ambiance. Cannero seems mostly a quiet, lovely spot for couples traveling. Up the road, Cannobio seems younger and more active with its camping and RV sites. We enjoyed the top notch breakfast buffet and sunning poolside- which can get a bit tricky during high season as loungers seem to get staked out early despite a sign saying you can’t leave your things unattended for more than a half hour. But the best discovery for us since we like to stay active on vacation were the extensive hiking trails up high behind Cannero that connect it up and down the coast to other villages. We took a hotel sponsored excursion across the lake to Luino for market day. The boat trip was fun but the market was a disappointing repetition of made in China cheap quality goods. The few food stalls were only ok. The handful of crafts vendors who set up Monday nights (during summer beyond that idk) on the lakefront in Cannero had much more charming wares. Dinner was good at the hotel but not as fine as their breakfast spread would suggest it would be.
