This is is a lovely hotel in a great location overlooking the sea. In a quiet location though only a short stroll from the historical centre of Sorrento. Comfortable beds in nicely decorated/furnished room - we also booked a sea view with a balcony - though imagine the other rooms were just as nice! Nice buffet breakfast with selection of cereals & plentiful selection of cakes/pastries meats/cheese & fruit. There was also hot bacon & scrambled eggs each morning. The breakfast room had the most amazing view of the coast & also overlooked Vesuvius. We didn???t get round to using the pool area but was quite small so imagine it could be quite busy in the height of the season & may not be enough sun beds for everyone but was a very attractive area.
The hotel also arranged a private return transfer from & to Naples airport at a cost of 100 euros each way, which made the journey hassle free & the hotel collected payment in cash for this service.
I would personally recommend this hotel over one of the larger properties in the area.

Plenty of positives about this hotel, not least its location right on the sea front and walking distance of the town. I would have awarded a 3 but the poor check out experience just confirmed other below par interactions which drags this down. Some staff were lovely: Lucia on our check in for eg, but sadly, others didnt seem to have the same ethos. For eg, breakfast routinely opened c. 10 mins later than advertised - yet never an apology or even an ackowledgement.Room attendants were similarly disengaged with guests and not overly effective either - twice we had to go to reception to pick up shower gel as there was none left in the room. Also, whilst in quite good nick, on arrival we discovered our shower was broken; then the safe. Both were fixed quickly but equally both gave the appearance of having seen better days. Overall, the place lacks a bit of atmosphere with the bar completely unused while we stayed. Also, given the appalling weather remaining at the hotel for dinner would have been a welcome option - only it wasn't due to the lack of a restaurant. And so the check out. I requested a copy of my bill be emailed to me as I need an electronic copy for a claim only for the guy on reception to be completely dismissive telling me I had a paper copy. How hard or unusual is it to email a copy invoice these days? Per above though, kind of representative of the general malaise infecting the place which is a shame because with more enthusiastic staff this place would be OK.
