Hotel Alpha

Stayed 3 times since 2019 It changed hands between 2019 and Sep 2023, a complete change in staff was a bit of a surprise last year Same staff this year as 2023 2nd floor is completely refurbished but 1st floor is still the old fashioned rooms They are acceptable, clean and air con works well The room includes kettle with some instant coffee sachets and creme There is also a small fridge with mini bar options Large tv and connects to WiFi so options to watch your home news etc available We had roadside view which we like but there are rooms facing the garden if you prefer quieter The balcony on 1st floor are large roadside, 2nd floor are smaller but you get better view I suppose We were half board and it's worth every penny as there are lots of options for evening meal including gluten free At breakfast you are provided with a tray of gf bread and biscuits cakes etc but you also have full availability of the normal buffet as well Silvio and his staff are very good in the restaurant The pool is good and a snack bar all day, the lady there works so hard Lunch is available served outside around the hotel terrace but is very expensive for what is available so we only did it once There are bars are restaurant both up from the hotel and towards the sea front It's a lovely location as its not in sorrento but close enough to jump on train and bus to visit The transfer from airport is just over an hour

This is a really lovely hotel - we booked as a package through Jet2 but it was the hotel staff who really make it special. Reception were always extra helpful with advice and booking trips. The restaurant staff were great at providing gluten-free options for almost everything from the half-board menu. The location is great being so close to the local train station - it's also possible to walk into Sorrento (25 minutes). The only small downside is the road noise from the busy roads around the hotel but you don't hear them from the room (well insulated) and you can't really get away from traffic in this area! So overall I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

From start to finish staff were so kind and helpful . We stayed for 11 nights and the menu was different every night and a very good choice . The train station is a 5 minute walk away , it cost €3 return to Sorrento about 5 minutes away just 1 stop .
