We stayed at the start of October, what a great hotel this is, the staff are well trained and look after everyone so well, the food is very nice, and the room was super. We had a great balcony view and really enjoyed it here.
Nothing is too much trouble here - the staff really do make sure they are looking after you. We arrived after lunch our first day but the manager asked the kitchen to stay open a little longer and even offered some complimentary snacks - you just don???t get this level of service from most other hotels - excellent customer care.
The hotel is about a 5 min train ride from Sorrento centre or 45 mins into Naples. We stayed in one of more traditional rooms - a comfort room, these were very charming and exceptionally clean and well kept. The only comment i???d have is the bathrooms in these rooms may benefit from updating, the manager often chatted and mentioned there is work in the pipeline over winter so I don???t think it will be too long before they turn their attention to these.

We were very lucky to have managed to take our pre-booked holiday at the Alpha hotel in late September 2020. The management worked hard to sort out a mix up with my daughter and partner???s room, our booking agent had failed to forward on the necessary paperwork, but all was sorted in a day or so.
We stayed half board and two of our parties were vegetarian, but we found that there were always vegetarian options on all of the menus. The restaurant staff were lovely, and always on hand to serve anything you wanted from the breakfast bar. Social distancing, mask wearing and highest standards of cleanliness were all in place, which meant that we felt as relaxed as possible during our stay.
Every member of staff we met were friendly, and took great pride in their hotel and the locality, most of the food served was locally sourced or grown at the hotel.
Buses ran directly from outside the hotel into Sorrento town and port, and the Circumvesuviana train station was a short 10 mins walk away in Sant Agnello town centre. We used this to access Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii during our stay, you passed a local supermarket on the way which was great for stocking up on any extra food and drink.
Relaxing by the poolside was a great experience, quiet and chilled and no problems with sunbeds/loungers. There were amazing views of the poolside areas or Mount Vesuvius from our balcony windows.
All in all a very pleasant stay, and would be happy to use as a base for touring the local area in future.
