Monte Solaro

Soaring majestically over Capri, Monte Solaro is the island’s highest peak, and is impossible to ignore. Standing at more than 1,930 feet above the sea level, Capri’s mightiest peak watches over the entire island, and is the first thing visitors see when arriving by boat.

Often wreathed in fluffy clouds, Mount Solaro is one of the island’s biggest attractions, drawing those wanting to experience the best views on the island.  The peak can be climbed on foot, but the most popular option is to purchase a ticket for the Anacapri chair lift, which whisks guests up to the top in just 12 minutes. The ascent is unforgettable, and the views from the top are second to none, making this one of Capri’s most essential attractions to visit.
