About the location
Conca dei Marini is a tiny fishing village commune with just a handful of amenities, yet there is a quaint rural charm here that can’t be found in many other places along the Amalfi Coast. Relatively untouched by tourism, Conca dei Marini is perhaps best known for being the home of the hidden Grotto dello Smeraldo – a remarkable karst cave that rivals the Blue Grotto found in nearby Capri. Journey inside and the cave will divulge its secret feature – an inner chamber where visitors can witness a dazzling reflection of bright emerald light as the sunlight is dramatically refracted. Elsewhere in this cliffside village you can find a smattering of authentic restaurants, often with mesmerising sea views, as well as a sleepy marina that perfectly encapsulates the charm of the Italian coastline. Better still, Conca dei Marini is just a short drive from Amalfi and Furore, making it easy to explore these stunning towns during your getaway.

This was our second stay at this hotel to celebrate our 30th wedding Anniversary and it was as good as five years ago.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful. The reception staff were excellent..always on hand to help at any time. The waiting staff were very attentive, especially Gennaro who is a credit to the hotel. Natalie (at Spa Reception) is such a special young lady who???s English language is excellent and Andrea gave me the best massage ever!.
Lastly the ladies & gentlemen who work away keeping the hotel and rooms spotless and sanitized do a wonderful job - we really appreciated it during these difficult Covid times!.
Monastero Santa Rosa is a very special hotel. The food, the gardens, the views, the attention to detail. You will be truly spoiled ....enjoy!💖

ARRIVAL
We arrived 4 hours early of the check in time but we were allowed to check in, greatly appreciated. Upon our arrival, the Monastery bell rang to welcome us then a staff took us to a small terrace with breathtaking view of Amalfi coast
STAFF
All staff are polite and welcoming. At the restaurant, the waiters were very attentive, went above and beyond to make my birthday meal so memorable. I got a birthday cake and a bottle of Prosecco from the thoughtful staff
HOTEL ROOM
Our room is so beautiful and romantic, it offers spectacular view of the town of Amalfi and the ocean.
INFINITY POOL
Their famous infinity pool is absolutely amazing. We feel like we are back in Hotel Villa Honegg in Switzerland. How I wish though the temperature of their infinity pool is as warm as the equally stunning infinity pool of hotel Honegg. TBH, I don???t think the pool was heated when we were there
RESTAURANT
A perfect restaurant, good service and excellent food. We had outstanding food experience
SPA
We were not able to use the spa as there was not enough slot available. Due to covid situation, you need to book a slot to use the spa. Tip for those who are staying here, you can book your slot to use the spa before checking in
LOCATION
Naples airport is about 1hr and 30mins journey going to the hotel. I paid ???100 for one way private transport. On our way to the hotel from Naples airport, we pay additional ???50 (???150 in total) for our private transport to take us to Positano for an hour. M
The hotel has shuttle service to take guests to Amalfi town
Overall, we had a wonderful time here. We will definitely comeback!!

11/10 stay, and I wish we stayed longer (we had already booked other properties that were non-refundable so extending wasn't an option). Monastero Santa Rosa is the definition of top tier luxury, even against similar hotels we've been. The service is impeccable, the food (they have a Michelin star restaurant on site) was fantastic, and the place itself is one of the most unique locations you can imagine.
They pay attention to the little details, and the luxury is subtle - this is what makes them stand out. Their restaurant offered both privacy and a great dining experience (not to mention the best dessert I've had in years). Compared to other Michelin restaurants - e.g. we dined at the Belmond Belvedere restaurant as well - it had better food.
Don't get me started on their Thermal Spa - cleaned after every use due to Covid-19 - it offered a range of treatments and was beautifully integrated into the old monastery.
Thanks for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed at Monastero Santa Rosa for our wedding anniversary and I will start by listing the positives followed by the areas that could be improved.
First of all, the resort and spa is absolutely stunning with every attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special and memorable, from the little gifts they left in the room to the surprise anniversary cake they brought us for our first dinner.
The restaurant staff were extremely kind and knowledgeable. We especially appreciate how the team managed to get fragolines for breakfast even though it was not on the menu or even easily found outside the hotel as it was not the season.
The service by the pool could be improved.
We had booked a cocktail class but once we arrived for our appointment no one seamed to know about this and we were told to tell the reception. We were surprised that no one offered to provide a solution. It seamed unorganized and we ended up not taking the class which was a pitty.

If I could give an extra score I d give with no doubts. It???s one of the best hotels around the world. Classy but discrete, dramatic view on the Amalfi coast and a pool which is a masterpiece and a must if you are in the area. Every detail is just unique and perfect . The staff is impeccable and that makes a difference. Service is a 6 stars starting from the director who???s a rare gem in the business.
