Belvedere, Amalfi Coast

we came here for my wife's birthday and are leaving Saturday morning. For whom they have never been in Amalfi I should say that hotels no matter how expensive they are, have old buildings and what makes them different is the quality of maintenance and equipment. this is also and old hotel but the way they are keeping it and maintaining it is PHENOMENAL . super clean and quiet, house keeping works every day not even missed once, clean, set, recharge etc. all workers are super nice and friendly and so helpful. They do their best to make your trip unforgettable. they have a shuttle "small van" to Amalfi and it runs from around 8am to 4:30pm and it costs €4 per person per way which is nothing. I can't say enough about the Location of the hotel. if you are like us and want to explore the area from Amalfi all the way to Sorrento you need to either drive your own car or take a bus. either way this hotel works perfectly fine. they are located right in the middle of Amalfi and Positano and provides free parking and if you don't drive don't worry, bus stop is right in front of the building which is a blessing here. you can buy the tickets at the front desk. they have a nice breakfast buffet which will be "ALMOST" the same during your stay but nothing boring since you have lots of options and you can mix. one of the best beaches "kinda private and secluded" is located right beside the building. get out, take the steps 306 of them and you find that nice beach. water taxi is also there and it makes access to this hotel even easier. at the end, If you are coming here to celebrate something special like us or need something specific during your stay, just email them, "Antonio" the manager will take care of you as he did for us, great job. I definitely recommend this hotel considering all the factors Location, price, service, cleanliness, friendliness, comfort, amenities, ... Tips for traveling to Amalfi coat; 1: if you wanna rent a car, go with the SMALLEST that your group can fit in. roads and driving here is not as easy as you may think and make sure your hotel provides free parking otherwise it's really hard to find and sometimes you have to walk for miles to find one. 2: when you wanna go to Amalfi or Positano try bus or shuttle, parking in both cities is kinda pricey. 3: do stick to one place either restaurant or beach. there are tons of great options and you don't wanna miss any. 4: bring snorkeling kit, you will enjoy the crystal clear water and life under it. 5: try to reserve wherever you wanna go in advance, they are busy and you may end up missing your favorite place .

For over 20 years I have wanted to visit the Amalfi Coast, and this visit was everything I wished for and more. We received a warm welcome on arrival at the hotel and taken to our room, the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The room was fresh, clean and airy. The pool area is a real plus factor, with a pool bar, serving food and drinks until around 6pm. We took advantage of the shuttle service the hotel offer into Amalfi during the day, to get the ferries to Positano etc and visit the town. It runs until around 16.30, but there is a Sita bus stop right outside the hotel if you want to stay longer. The food was good and we received a warm welcome each morning for breakfast and our evening meal in the restaurant from Peppe and his staff. Drinks in the bar on the terrace afterwards watching the sunset and boats go by was the best way to end the day with the drinks served expertly by Thomas. An amazing memorable stay. We will be back!
