About the location
Conca dei Marini is a tiny fishing village commune with just a handful of amenities, yet there is a quaint rural charm here that can’t be found in many other places along the Amalfi Coast. Relatively untouched by tourism, Conca dei Marini is perhaps best known for being the home of the hidden Grotto dello Smeraldo – a remarkable karst cave that rivals the Blue Grotto found in nearby Capri. Journey inside and the cave will divulge its secret feature – an inner chamber where visitors can witness a dazzling reflection of bright emerald light as the sunlight is dramatically refracted. Elsewhere in this cliffside village you can find a smattering of authentic restaurants, often with mesmerising sea views, as well as a sleepy marina that perfectly encapsulates the charm of the Italian coastline. Better still, Conca dei Marini is just a short drive from Amalfi and Furore, making it easy to explore these stunning towns during your getaway.

We have to leave a review of this wonderful place. From the minute we arrived we were treated like honored guests. The front desk staff was great and checked us in early without asking. The hotel manager was pleasant and welcoming.
Our room was roomy and comfortable with a wonderful balcony with an ocean view to die for. The daily room cleaning was quick and well done.
The hotel restaurant is the most impressive part of this hotel. Our first meal at the restaurant included a surprise in that we realized that one of the service staff was a man we had met five years earlier at a different restaurant in Minori. It was great to see Marcello. The food was great the selection of breakfast items was extensive and the dinner menu was 5 Star. The shining star of the restaurant was the manager Pepe. Pepe is FANTASTIC, he is charming and pleasant and is the ultimate host. He explained every menu item and made sure that you never had to ask for anything… we will definitely return and look forward to better weather when we return.

This was our third stay at Hotel Belvedere. The pool is wonderful. The rooms are great; they aren’t modern as they aren’t in much of Italy, but they’re comfortable and clean. The location atop the cliffs yields beautiful views. The marina a few hundred steps down the cliff is not to be missed. La Tonarella is one of the most wonderful restaurants in the world and the marina is simply charming. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly. Overall, it’s a great hotel for the price.
Only one criticism: the bartender was incredibly rude, not just to us, but to other patrons. It was a rainy day so the bar was more busy than usual, but that’s not an excuse for rudeness. We’ve had the same bartender on two prior trips; he was rather slow, but wasn’t previously rude. We hope that improves next time.

We stayed five nights this week - 20 may 2023. We had a great time. We ate breakfast very morning there and dinner three nights. We had A la Carte the first night and then the set menu @ four courses, the other two nights at €45 pp. Meals were great. Cooked well, hot and fresh. The pool is really good. Salt water too. The room was good. Great view of the ocean for us. The hotel has pretty much everything you need. It’s got a shuttle bus into Amalfi too for during the day. The staff were great especially the driver Gaitono - great bloke and a great driver he knows every bend of that road and very friendly chap. We all got on with with well. Our waiter was Fabio and he was really good - knew exactly what table we liked, what coffees to get us and real quick and friendly. The matre D was Pepe who was wonderful and had everything running smoothly for us. They made our stay very comfortable. Thanks guys.
