About the location
Ricadi is located on the Southern Italian coastline of Calabria.
This sleepy town is a hidden gem, and home to Baia del Godano Resort & Spa, a tranquil beachfront resort overlooking the sparkling blue Tyrrhenian Sea. This is an idyllic place for an extended stay, with sunny warm days stretching across long summers.
Arriving in Ricadi you will feel like you’ve stepped back in time. This medieval town is believed to have been established in the 10th century, and has had a rich agricultural history, home to vineyards, farms, and olive groves.
Away from your daily routine, your holiday in Ricadi can be filled with adventure, albeit at a slower pace. Venture south to delightful Cape Vaticano, where inviting white beaches and warm waters are perfect for snorkelling. There are also plenty of scenic trails to go hiking along.
In the north lies Santa Domenica di Ricadi, where more beautiful beaches and natural caves are tucked away in bays under jagged cliffs. Baia di Riaci is arguably one of the best beaches and a popular spot for scuba diving.
In the month of August you can enjoy the unique annual festival of La Sagra della Cipolla Rossa, which pays homage to the protected IGP red onion - a regional speciality.
It’s easy to feel like you’ve landed in the middle of nowhere, but Baia del Godano Resort & Spa is just a mile away from a train station and a one hour drive form the main airport in Calabria, Lamezia Terme International Airport.

Super nice hotel in one of the most beautiful areas of the Costa degli Dei.
Location: Road to hotel adventurous but totally worth it. Rental car recommended. Free hotel owned parking spots available.
First impression - a little oasis right at the beach. Calm, elegant & authentic with a beautiful smell of citric fruits and flowers.
Staff: Without exception super nice and professional. Especially Carlo knows how to treat guests in a very friendly yet still authentic & professional way.
Beach: The hotel owned part is small but very clean. 10m away starts the very empty public beach allowonh long walks and enough space to swim. Bright small stones with turquoise clear water - and amazing sunsets with the Stromboli volcano embracing the sun.
Food: Breakfast was very good especially for Italian conditions. Freshly made eggs and a great cappuccino. Lunch/Dinner was good too - we mainly ate fish and vegetables.
Room: We had a junior suite on the first floor with sea side view. Daily cleaning, nice bed, great new and modern bathroom with palm leaves greeting you through the window. Extra big closets and a lot of space. Terrace with sea side view for relaxed, picture-perfect evenings.
Guests: In June mainly German-speaking guests from Austria and Southern Germany, more couples than families.
Recommended for: Couples from 30+ onwards looking for tranquility & some super relaxed days at the beach.
Not recommended: Neither for singles looking for fun nor families with teenagers.

In the hotel we have spent a fantastic family holiday, which surpassed our expectation. High quality of accommodation next to the beach. Beach was very clean and the sea is most of the blue one which I saw in my life. I was calling small karibik in Europe. Staff was very friendly and the cuisine was fantastic as well. Every evening we had a new delicacy???s from Calabria cuisine with Sunless sun sets. We have really enjoyed :-)!!! Thank you

Are many things to be mention about this resort. First the positive things: a great panorama, very nice pool, nice beach and clean, warm and clean sea.
Negative things: - they are claiming that is a place were you can have rest and relaxation, indeed you have it between 14-16 o'clock, but late in the evening the music started lowed. In some days we had Karaoke, which killed our hearing and our good mood. The worse thing is that we had to pay in the end of our stay some money also for this entertaining which was in fact disturbing us.
- the breakfast was the same in each day, no vegetable at the table, I think for a 4-stars hotel one can offer more.
- we were booking a One-Bedroom Apartment with garden view, bu nowhere was specified that in this types of rooms no cleaning is available. Of course we had to buy things to clean our apartment, we considered this a bit cheating. The shower is very, very narrow and the toilet looks old.
In conclusion, in terms of prices it is a 4 star hotel but for the offer it is much less.

Small hotel + apartments right on its own private beach with loungers, chairs and umbrellas. Only one restaurant so imagine it gets boring fast. Breakfast costs 7 euros per adult and 5 euros for kids over 3.
Stunning sunsets.
Water is crystal clear, shallow with large boulders forming a shallow area for kids. Great snorkeling.
Pool is nice too, small baby area too about 0.5m deep.
Highly recommend for a family trip

It's a small resort with a small spa which offers a wide range of massages and you pay
??? 4.00 toll for the Jacuzzi. The place is really pleasant: the beach , the garden, the pool and the sea. Breakfast is nice but the organization isn't good because there are always people waiting for something ( for coffee, for eggs, for bread) as the waiter don't realize they have to bring the staff before people ask. There are 2 more small resorts next to it, always crowded with children
