Isola di Capo Rizzuto holidays take you to some of Italy’s most beautiful and undiscovered beaches. Despite the name ‘Isola’, the area isn’t an island but is well known for its spectacular coastline. Spiaggia Le Cennella is a long golden stretch backed by restaurants and hotels, and curving around to the town’s Aragonese Castle, which juts out into the Ionian Sea. It’s one of the regions liveliest beaches and offers rocks for climbing children, as well as little ones wanting to fish in rock pools. For a more deserted beach where you can find your own little patch of sand, visit Spiagge Rosse. The sea here is shallow and protected from the winds by a sandy slope and natural bay. And if you prefer to hunt for wild flowers and underwater life, visit Spiaggia dei Gigli. This wild expanse of sands is ideal for a day of picnics and exploring.
