Travelling with Eurostar is very similar to most airlines, where you are required to Check-in online, prior to your arrival at either London St Pancras International or Paris Gare du Nord.
Your final documents will include a Eurostar booking reference - to check in:
Inter-City/Inter-Country Trains: Operated by Trenitalia, TGV & Italo
For the majority of rail services, you will receive a ticket from our ticketing partner 1Track once your trains are booked. We'll also attach a copy of these to your final departure documents.
Your tickets will state your train coach number and seat numbers. Please note the majority of services are non-amendable once booked.
Regional Trains: Operated by Trenitalia & TreNord
Regional services throughout Italy give the flexibilty of being able to amend your train time. Once you receive your ticket from us, it will state "Not Valid for Travel". The email you receive once your tickets are booked, will have a link called "Regional Check-In".
On the day of travel, please click this link and the tickets and QR code will be displayed in green stating "validated". Regional train services do not have reserved seating so you can choose any carriage to travel in.
If you do wish to amend a regional ticket, this must be done prior to the scheduled departure time using the check-in link, where you will find the option to amend the time of travel. Please do contact our Customer Operations team if you have an onward transfer booked so that we can check if the transfer collection time can be amended.
For further information on the Regional Ticket and amending process, please visit: https://www.trenitalia.com/en/information/digital-regional-ticket.html
If You Have Booked Via A Travel Agent
Please ensure you have recevied all copies of 1Track emails from them along with your final departure documents.
Milan has two main train stations: Milan Centrale & Milan Porta Garibaldi. The station you arrive/depart from will be confirmed on your rail tickets which will be attached to your final documentation - this may be different to what is displayed on your itinerary.
As general guidance:
The train stations are located a 5 minute drive apart from each other. Should you have a pre-booked transfer with Citalia, we will ensure your transfer company is provided with the correct station information, which will be displayed on your PDF tickets that are sent with your final travel documents.
Please refer to your tickets which will be attached to you final departure documents confirming you exact station in Paris as this varies depending on the service you are using.
As general guidance, the below stations are used:
Your confirmed station information will be on your PDF tickets. Where changes of stations are involved, we will ensure a suitable transit time is included. The Paris Metro system is the easiest method of transport between stations in Paris, as taxis can often get caught up in congestion throughout the city.
Transfers from the train station
If you have booked an onward transfer with Citalia from your arrival train station, please find the meeting point information below. Please note due to the number of stations in Italy, we’re unable to list every train station. The larger stations below have more than one exit and you will find the designated meeting point stated. If your station is not listed, this means there is only one exit where your driver will be waiting for you with a Citalia sign. If you do encounter any difficulties in locating your driver, you will find the phone number for our local provider on your departure documents.
