How long have you been an Italy Expert and what do you specialise in?
Coming up to 17 years now – time flies! I love putting together tailormade holidays, especially around the Neapolitan Rivera as this is somewhere that I know very well, having holidayed there a lot. The contrast between the coastal towns on the mainland of the Amalfi Coast and the serenity and charm of the islands really is a great combination.

1. What was your most memorable holiday meal?
Try simple dishes. I love Caprese salad (fresh tomato, basil and mozzarella), as it tastes so much nicer in Italy, especially with the local olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
2. What is the best thing about being in Italy?
The people are so friendly and charming, as well as having a lot of passion for their food and wine – which cannot be faulted! Put that alongside beautiful scenery, amazing history and culture and you can’t go wrong.
3. Where would you love to go next, and why?
I’d love to go back to Lake Garda as I feel this has so much to offer and I didn’t get to experience it all when I was there.
4. Do you prefer visiting cities, coast or countryside, and why?
I prefer the coast, there’s something about the sea that just draws me in. I love being able to sit on my balcony and look over the sea, whether it be the bay of Naples in Sorrento or the stunning turquoise waters in Sardinia.
