About the location
Everyone knows about Pisa’s Leaning Tower and magnificent baroque basilica, but look behind these brochure cover stars and you’ll find an array of modem museums, picturesque piazzas and exceptional restaurants vying for your attention. Of course, the city’s wonky bell tower is its main draw and is entirely deserving of its worldwide fame. Taking a novelty photo in front of the tower is great fun – book ahead if you want to climb to the top to avoid the queues. The entire area, known as the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site and packs plenty of appeal. Along with the tower, you can visit landmarks including the 11th-century marble-clad duomo and the remarkable baptistery, believed to be the largest in Italy.
Wander just a few streets away and you’ll discover a much more typical Pisan scene; locals milling about beneath rustic townhouses, and bustling cafes nestled in peaceful squares. Piazza de Cavalieri and Piazza Dante are two such examples of the authentic Pisa that many miss. Pisa’s botanical gardens are also worth a visit, and feature numerous rare plants set in surprisingly tranquil surroundings, especially considering their location is just a 10-minute stroll from the city’s famous Leaning Tower.

The are not many options in pisa, but if you can, find a different hotel. The staff is most unpleasant and provided very little service and made us feel unwelcome and on our own. They know there is much competition for people arriving late at the pisa airport and have decided to not try.

No value for your money

I don't understand how this hotel is 4 stars. Avoid if you want a comfortable, relatively quiet accomodation for your money - this isn't it.
Pros
- Literally next to the Pisa Central Station
- Breakfast was good quality
- Polite staff at reception who could speak English
- Relatively clean
Cons
- Outdated rooms in need of urgent repairing and/or renovation
- Broken shower head holder in bathroom
- Very noisy AC that can cool the room for a certain period of time only
- Paper thin walls, you can hear your neighbors merely talking, too. Not to mention if someone has a party next to you, as it happened to us on a Friday night. No soundproofing whatsoever.
- Only one lamp in the room, no additional lights next to the bed
- Only two power outlets in the room, almost at floor level, no proper night stand with additional power outlets. Phone charging was very cumbersome.
- Not a big variety in the breakfast choices and the staff refilled food very slowly, we needed to wait for them a lot to be able to have a proper breakfast
- Only one luggage stand in the room that was supposedly for two people
- Poor quality, thin toilet paper
- Toilet tank refills for eternity, it's very annoying
- Poor quality hairdryer. If you have a long hair, bring your own.
All in all, it wasn’t comfortable neither relaxing, felt morel like a rip off, no real value for our money.

We visited in April and stayed for 4 nights. The reception area is pleasant, although the doors in and out of the hotel are very quick to close, be careful! The breakfast area is clean and nicely set out. But the room we had was very tired; in fact the whole floor where we were was dated and in need of refurbishment. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. But, there was very little storage, no hooks for coats, nothing to put your suitcase on to unpack and nowhere to put your clothing if you did! Two small drawers and only half a wardrobe as one half was blocked by the desk! There was nowhere to charge phones, watches etc although an extension cable was provided when we asked. The bathroom was functional, but again nowhere to put your toiletries.
The hotel is very conveniently situated, so that is the main draw, but it could do with some TLC, but particularly in the bedrooms. Would be fine for a brief stay.

Perfect hotel, off the station across the road into the hotel, happy days!
Everything you might expect for a base to explore from a decent tourist/ business hotel.
Some pilots were checking in too...
