From the beautifully scented lemon gardens and ancient villas to the famous  Path of the Gods, this tour invites you to enjoy the rich culture of the region. Explore charming towns like Amalfi , Ravello and Positano and savour the flavours of the local cuisine. Explore Ferriere Natural Reserve, a deep and lush valley, crossed by a torrent with spectacular waterfalls, ancient water mills and ironworks. Concluding in Ravello, this walking tour guarantees an enriching and memorable experience on the stunning Amalfi Coast.

This is a trekking tour and requires a reasonable level of fitness as it  involves min 4 hours walking every day with lots of steps, elevated position and uneven footpaths . It is not suitable for people with any health or mobility issues. Clients must wear walking boots and a small rucksack is ideal.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive in Ravello

Arrive at your hotel, Hotel Graal, and relax before your first day of your walking tour or spend the evening exploring Ravello at your own pace.

Day 2 : Lemon Path and Maiori

After breakfast meet the guide and the rest of the group, after a small briefing you will start walking towards the sea. Passing the Torello hamlet and many lemon gardens, you will soon arrive in Minori.

Visit to a local limoncello producer and the ancient Villa Romana. After lunch, via the ancient steps head to the Lemon Path: one of the most famous paths along the Amalfi Coast, passing the beautiful lemon gardens and offering breathtaking views over the coast. Once in Maiori time to relax on the sea front and along the main street before heading back to Ravello by private minibus.

Day 3 : Valle delle Ferriere and Amalfi

Today's walk starts in the direction of Scala, one of the most ancient towns on the Amalfi Coast. After passing by you will soon arrive in Pontone, from where you will access the Valle delle Ferriere Natural Reserve: an untamed place where you can admire prehistoric vegetation, water falls and mills all around.

After visiting the reserve, you will arrive in the upper part of Amalfi where it will be possible to have an optional visit to the papermill museum. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant and you will also have some free time to visit Amalfi Dome or take advantage of the shops around the historical centre, before heading back to Ravello by private minibus.

Day 4 : Ravello

Explore your local surroundings today with a walking tour of Ravello. Wander around the historical centre and explore the beautiful villas, Rufolo and Cimbrone. Enjoy lunch with the group in a local restaurant. The afternoon is yours to do as you wish, relax by the pool or head down to the beach.

Day 5 : Path of the Gods

For your final full day on the walking tour you will head to Bomerano for the Path of the Gods trail. This path follows the contours of the land and the coast offering the most impressive views over Positano, Punta Campanella and Capri. Along the pathway you will see ancient houses, shepherd huts and caves, showcasing the ancient rural life.

Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant in Nocelle, a small hamlet along the path and take a well needed rest stop. After lunch you will continue towards Positano where you will have free time to discover the town centre. Return to Amalfi by public ferry and admire the coast by sea, a private minibus will be waiting to take you back to Ravello.

Day 6 : Departure

Enjoy a breakfast buffet at the hotel before your onward journey or add on some extra nights to explore the Amalfi Coast at your own leisure.

Flight Information

The closest airport to the Amalfi Coast is Naples (NAP), which is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Amalfi. Direct flights to Naples airport (NAP) are available from Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester and Newcastle and take approximately 2 hours 45 minutes.

Visa Information

At the current time, British citizens do not require a visa to visit Italy.

Tipping

Whilst tipping isn’t embedded into Italian culture it is always appreciated as an acknowledgement of good service. Nowadays people generally round up a bill in a bar or cafe and leave 5-10% extra on a restaurant bill. Taxi bills are usually also rounded up. 
 
On guided tours/excursions it is customary to leave a token of appreciation for the driver and guide.
 
On small group escorted tours, it is customary to leave a token of appreciation the driver and guide at the end of the tour.
